The Serai Kabini

The location is outstanding just on the banks of the kabini backwaters. Nice place for a boating session. The safari was good with an expert driver (government vehicle. Serai books canter or jeep safari based on your preference. The food was good, though a bit on the expensive side. The staff was really courteous and welcoming. I would want serai to have some way of tipping their staff with a cashless option. The room was clean with a nice view and a hammock outside. Had limited time to explore the games and activities, but had a nice relaxing walk around the property in the evening in the drizzly weather which was very nice. U can hear the sounds of nature. Riding the bicycles on the water bank is another must do. Sit by the water, set your cam up in time lapse and stare into the forest and the mountains on the other end. Perfect to unwind and recharge

Situated on the banks of river kabini, this is a quiet and serene escape from your daily hustle and bustle. The roads are scenic and except for the final 500mts or so are a dream to drive on. The entrance path is a stone and mud road, which gets bumpy and slushy during the monsoons. Coming to the hygiene and safety standards, this resort requires residents to be vaccinated, and all their staff are masked at all times. The safari is operated by jungle lodge (a govt of karnataka undertaking) and is not socially distanced, which is the only thing that was unsettling. The operator ensures each vehicle has 21 passengers, which means all seats are occupied. Rooms are well sanitised before you are checked in, so no concerns there either. The entire resort is spic k and span, and you can completely enjoy the natural ambience

We stayed at the serai for 2 days. The resort is very well maintained and has all amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the view of kabini river, had walls in lush greenery, did boating, cycling among-st other things. However, more than the facilities and the property, i would like to appreciate the staff. The hospitality and customer service was top-notch. All the staff was extremely courteous and warm. They even packed us complimentary snacks on our return journey. Never seen such a kind gesture. 11/10 to the serai, kabini for this. This differentiates serai from other resorts in the area and dont mind paying the premium at all for such a world class hospitality.

The resort is not as luxurious as is advertised. For the premium they charge for the stay, the experience could be better. Staff is friendly. Food menu is not extensive at all and on our very first day, the chef did roast the nee r dosa instead of steaming it or whatever it is that one does with nee r dosa. That was a bit disappointing and then we refrained from ordering south indian dishes. Dal makhani and spinach au-gratin was delicious. All in all, it's a medium budget stay and ideally should not be as extravagant as they seem to be.

Staying at serai was truly an experience filled with wonderful surprises, especially when it came to my birthday celebration. As i entered my room, i was welcomed by beautiful decoration. The bed was beautifully decorated with leaves and flowers. The attention to detail was outstanding, and i couldn't help but feel incredibly touched by the thoughtfulness of the staff. Serai truly went above and beyond to make my birthday special, and i will forever cherish the memories of this delightful surprise.

Very courteous and friendly staff, from the minute we arrived to our checkout time. Spread over a nice big area with good amenities - makes for a nice walk at leisure, but we can also ask for a buggy to drop us off anytime anywhere in the compound. Breakfast had a good array of options and was tasty. Being a vegetarian, we tried pastas, different rice options and desserts for lunch and dinner, and they were all good. Overall, you get a nice serai experience for the amount you pay.

Our stay at serai kabini was truly memorable! the boat safari and jeep safari offered a unique and immersive wildlife experience. The thrill of encountering nature up close was unparalleled. Moreover, the culinary delights at breakfast and dinner were simply exceptional, adding a flavorful touch to our overall enjoyment. The combination of exciting safaris and delicious meals made our stay at serai kabini a perfect blend of adventure and gastronomic delight. Highly recommended!

Without doubt this was a wonderful resort with serene view. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The staff were extremely friendly. Food was excellent. Another major highlight of the stay is safari. Both land safari and boat safari are available. We took the land safari. Happened to see lots of spotted dears, sambar, elephants, gaurs, peacock, gray langurs, eagle, pheasant, stork, crane. Eagerly expected to spot tiger but ended up seeing footprints.

Thy give on the site that the rooms are waterfront but there is no water at all. Felt misguided. Staff also not courteous in speaking. Will not recommend.

Serai is definitely better than jlr as long as you get safari slot. Good food, nice room, open to sky bath.

A quick booking done from makemytrip. Serai kabini is location next to kabini backwaters. It is a serene, calm and extremely beautiful. Superb hospitality, great room and service, tasty food and couteous staff. They have activities like boat safari etc. Must visit place

It was really a splendid relaxed holiday at this serene serai resort. The ambiance and service were outstanding and worth the price, which appears expensive at the outset. The safari was good as we spotted the tigers, but it was expensive. Overall, it was a great one day luxury self pampering.

It was good but highly overpriced

It's a upscale place located next to jungle lodges & resorts in kabini back waters. It's good for relaxing amid-st wildlife n for safari lovers. Little bit of water sports to keep kids engaged n play area and also a mini library, which has more of wildlife related books. Rooms are good with a very good ambience. Food was good n hospitality was the best.

Nice place to stay within the lap of nature

Rooms are spacious and with the beautiful view of Kabini River. I would rate 5 star for the service. They provided crib for my son which was very helpful. We enjoyed the spa service. They also have land and boat safari but unfortunately we were not able to do it because of the age limit for my son. I would rate 4 star for the food. Safety measures near the pool side can be improved. There was no one to monitor.

Serai Kabini is very well maintained resort. Loved The ambience and The food quality is also very nice. The staff is very friendly and accommodative to your demands. They have wide variety of food for breakfast buffet and meals. The staff is very polite. Overall good value for money.
