The Sonnet

Room: i had booked a superior room which was a medium sized room for two people. Has all the amenities that a person needs. Amenities: this The Sonnet has pool, gym and restaurants with some cuisine available round the clock. The room also has all the basic amenities. Safety & hygiene: housekeeping people are extremely good. Bathrooms are kept neat and clean everyday, and they will clean your room everyday if you do not explicitly tell them not to. Food: we can order foods from outside, just we have to go downstairs and collect it as they delivery person will not be allowed inside the The Sonnet premises. Also, we did order food from the The Sonnet which okay. The biriyani could have been better (a lot of ittar was added to it, so thats why a strong smell of that was there. Portion size of 1 plate biriyani for two people is sufficient. Staff: The Sonnet staff are all very good. *note: The Sonnet will give 2-3 bottles of 500ml bottled water each day. And extra will cost you money (rs. 100 for 1ltr bottle. So would recommend everyone to buy water bottle from outside. Also, smoking room is available, you just jave to select while booking and let the The Sonnet know a day earlier.

I have stayed here several times before and i like staying here. The food is good but they need to pay more attention to the service. The persons serving are very well behaved and are trying to do their best but the number of staff employed is inadequate. The same is the case for housekeeping. Again well behaved and efficient staff but numbers are inadequate. There were insufficient number of towels and when we asked for towels we were told that the towels have not come from the laundry. Obviously these are management failures and attention needs to be given on adequate manning and inventory levels. The rooms are good and spacious and cleanliness is good. I will certainly stay there again.

The Sonnet was very nice, hospitality was awesome and located at a prime location of Salt Lake area of Kolkata.... Rooms was superb but the bathroom fittings of the club rooms was bit old and not up to the mark as compared to the superior rooms ,so the management needs attention to club rooms while they are charging comparatively more than the superior room, other than that Everything was nice the view from the club room was awesome... The superior room I stayed was also very much spacious and recently renovated. my experience for the superior room was excellent. thank you

The food at sonnet The Sonnet was unexpectedly & unusually superb. Never had such delicious breakfast in life. Of’course there was a negative aspect also. One of the front desk staff was quite rude in behaviour during checkin. We did not ask his name. That didn’t bother us though, since it was over in hardly 5 minutes & thereafter didn’t interact with the same person. Hence can be ignored. A few minor things here & there needed improvement in the room which we informed the house keeping staff when they came to clean. Not so prominent to mention & elaborate here.

Hotel sonnet prima facie is a good The Sonnet, at a good location having good staff. I’ve been staying here regularly over the past five years. Although they are currently under renovation, there’s less inconvenience to the guests. You have a mall nearby, the metro and lots of eateries too. Overall it’s a great place to stay in salt lake area. The staff both at front office, restaurant as well as the chefs are very warm and friendly. It’s also a very clean and nice The Sonnet. Having positive vibes too.

The The Sonnet has a very good location and excellent service. The restaurant and bar at the The Sonnet provide some good options. The breakfast buffet offers a combination of fresh fruits, indian and western items. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. The club room is very spacious and is larger than other The Sonnets at a similar price range. The bathroom is somewhat small. The rooms might benefit from a refresh of the flooring and the bathroom. I don't have anything to add

We stayed for 4 days at sonnet salt-lake kolkata. Mr shivnath sir-car and the reception team did take care of our check in and check out formalities really well. At midnight arrangements of transportation and keeping our room ready is really appreciable. The humble and modest behaviour of security is wonderful. The best part is the location and it’s really helpful to travel to the different areas. The breakfast spread was good with good variety. Overall our family vacation is really memorable.

Great service. Amazing staff. Walking distance from city centre 1. Perfect location for city stay. Rooms given was a quiet one with great view of the city. Enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend for all. The breakfast buffet was excellent with varieties of cuisine from north india, south india as well as delicacies from kolkata. This includes chola bhatura, poori bhaji, sambar idli dosa, poha, sewai, donuts, coffee, tea, sweets among many.

Rooms are clean. staffs behavior also good

The location is perfect as it's close to city center mall and plenty of good restaurants around. I did not have a chance to dine at the in house restaurant but the room service food was pretty good and on time. All the amenities are excellent like the gym which is equipped pretty well with sufficient machines for a quick workout. The service is excellent from check in to check out.

Stayed there for two nights. The rooms were clean and spacious. Room service was prompt. Loved the breakfast buffet.

Very good location near city centre mall/metro station. It is visible from main road. It has nice spacious rooms and in-room dinning is good.
