I had booked a luxury room in the palace side of the The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. The room was excellent - nothing missing, everything perfect. At the reception, i was greeted well by the staff, jezreel, in particular who made sure that the check in was smooth. I had forgotten to pick up my bags after the security check at the The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai but when i went back i found them easily. That's the thing about the tata group - you'll see the honesty in all areas. My room had a wonderful view of the pool area as well as another wing of the palace side of the The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. Housekeeping staff was great especially chandresh who was prompt and helpful. I had dinner with a friend at the golden dragon restaurant. The food was excellent but they could have managed the waiting times better. Despite making a reservation, we had to wait quite long to get a table. The next morning, at breakfast, one of their staff mustakim greeted warmly, ushered me in and gave a table by the window with a great view of the gateway of india. Excellent experience overall! i had a package deal such that lunch was included at the shamian restaurant. It was good. I stayed (after paying extra) a quarter day longer and they were courteous in continuing to provide good service. At the checkout, there was a bit of confusion among-st their staff regarding pending payments, but that's okay. It was sorted later on. We stayed at the taj palace dirv2 nites and had a wonderful time. Enjoyed the room and the view from the room was amazing. Room was tidy and cleaned regularly. Enjed the snacks left in the room.
