The Tamara Kodai

We had booked two rooms for the four of our family with breakfast and dinner included. The Property is overlooking the Kodai lake and easy to reach with ample parking space. The check in process was easy. The reception area is a more than century old beautiful building. Individual cottages are separate buildings with four bedrooms and is a new construction. Buggies are there to move the guests but it is not too long or steep and walking in the pleasant climate is enjoyable. The suites are well appointed and our’s in the first floor was interconnected too. Not too spacious but ok. We didn’t have hot water in both our rooms and on contacting the housekeeping we were told that we will get water only for 10 minutes due to some maintenance. The same was not intimated before hand and so I ended up with a pretty cold shower. However it was rectified by next morning. We had issues with wifi connectivity and it took multiple calls to the reception to get sorted. They have two restaurants one with buffet spread and the other Bistro with a well stocked bar and cozy restaurant. Both are nice but the service in Providence restaurant was not up to expectation. There is a heated swimming pool in the property but it is a rather small one. I wish the rooms and balcony were a bit larger and the toilet had a bathtub.

Aah from where to start, from the time of check in till the check out it was a blissful process and loved the interaction with each and every staff in tamara kodai, if you are planning to visit kodai to enjoy the climate and to have a pleasant stay in outskirts of kodai then this is the place, the moment we entered this property a sense of calm surrounded us and it was carried throughout our stay. Maintenance is too good, and it was very clean from the room, restaurant and play area everything is cleanly maintained. Breakfast and dinner spread was more than enough, then coming to the staff they are very well trained and everyone is well behaved and i loved the interaction with almost everyone, and very special thanks to manivannan, jina, romika, vidhya, rakesh, salmon and suresh you people made our stay more memorable, finally the part which i loved the most the way they took care of my 1 year old son from the day we checked it till the last day he enjoyed his stay as well they took care of him very well, 24*7 you will get milk for baby, till 11;00 pm you will get baby food, cradle, crib and much more. Thanks tamara thanks for everything. Loved every bit of stay!

We stayed at "the tamara, kodaikanal" for three nights, and our experience exceeded all expectations. The staff support was excellent, making our stay feel like a slice of heaven, with clouds playing hide-and-seek throughout the day. The cleaning staff was meticulous and provided personalized attention. I would like to extend a special thanks to mr. Prabakaran for his exceptional service. Additionally, we were highly impressed by mr. E bi (resort driver, for his humble nature and excellent service. He recommended tourist spots and displayed a creative personality with a good taste in music and directions. Please note that while the resort charges for food, liquor, and sightseeing may seem high, they are worth every penny. We will definitely visit- the tamara, kodaikanal again in the future.

Everything was good except few minor issues. Minor issues are also not complaints but suggestions to make the feedback rating from 4 to 5. The architecture, location and landscape are excellent. Arrival at the resort was excellent. Local transport provided by the resort was very good and comfortable. All the staff were courteous and willing to help at all times. Following suggestions - - drains in the washrooms are not properly cleared as the water drains very slowly. This thing i noticed in washrooms at the swimming pool as well. - tata sky provided in the room got de-activated everyday and had to be recharged by the staff everyday. This took them almost 1 hr everyday. - it will be better if they can have a glass roof on top of the swimming pool as it rains frequently at this place.

To start with, all the staff we came across and interacted with were very courteous. Food was delicious. Room was extremely clean, thanks to the housekeeping staff (mr. Ashim) who made sure we had everything and immediately attended us when we requested for some extra amenities. Special thanks to mr. Ravi (if i remember his name correctly) who would engage the guests in some fun / entertainment activities (housie and karaoke) every evening, a very humble man and was so involved to entertain the guests. Every penny spent was worth the stay. Shall visit again soon.

The tamara is one of the best luxury The Tamara Kodais i have stayed in. An experience unforgettable ! from welcoming with a ginger coffee, to check in, food delicious, rooms impeccable, interiors of the property, the furniture, the water body in the reception and not the least love from the team blew my mind ! luxury, comfort, and care a cocktail of experiences indeed ! i recommend the tamara. This was the 1 st The Tamara Kodai i saw on mm t and booked it after seeing the beautiful pics. The location complemented the whole experience.

From reviews, I have selected my honeymoon celebration at Tamara Kodai. The hospitality given at the Check-in was excellent! Loved the staffs kindness and excellent in their approach! Especially Ebi -The Staff was in our hearts! Food, cleanliness, silence, everything was awesome!! Loved everything to see the staffs smile welcome. Overall we had a lovely time! Thank you, Tamara! Fall short of words to describe. Firstly, beautiful property, excellent hospitality, great food and lovely efforts made by the staff to make our special occasion more special and memorable. Special mention - chef ranjit with amazing mouth watering food, hari and his team who worked tirelessly towards making every possible effort to make our stay comfortable, sree and kin o always on their toes to serve with smile.

Very good property, well maintained and clean. Rooms are well appointed. It feels very calm and serene at the resort. Food is pretty good (not amazing though. Highlight of tamara is the staff, very polite and efficient. Special shoutout to subash kanan.

Very quiet and this place is the best suitable for the relax.

Over all we loved the property and amenities especially sir jay a chandran made our stay pleasant chef and people around dinning were very friendly ! women receptionist was unable to give us extra access card and to show regard * bharathi house keeping highly appreciated for his efforts thanks tamara team !

If you are staying in kodaikanal, this is the place you want to be. You have everything here, and the scenery is wonderful, the staff are very polite and helpful and don't miss the swimming pool which is temperature maintained.

Beautiful property. Very well maintained. Outstanding heated pool. Service is excellent. This was our 4th stay here in the last 18 months.

Excellent service. Great rooms with antique woodwares. Food quality was very good too. Spa was the standout of all and very relaxing. Activities could be more but otherwise worth the money.
