The Wildernest, Thekkady

I stayed here 2 nights with family. Really enjoyed staying here with various reasons like below mainly located within the happening place of Thekkady such as close proximity to Periyar tiger reserve, good restaurants around, shopping places, etc. Rooms were very spacious and the ambiance in the room is awesome. Clean and tidy. Thumps up to housekeeping staff, they were always active to keep the premises clean. Office staffs were very polite and professional in their response and behavior. Few things which may need improvement are security staff during day time. Due to an absence of security personal during day time, a fellow occupant in the same property scratched my car. If there was security, this incident could have been avoided. I ignored this inside to finally since The Wildernest, Thekkady staffs were so polite and I don't want to spoil the relationship and my mood. Kerala dishes (idly, appam, chap the) should be included in buffet breakfast. Currently only bread and jam/omelets. Overall I loved staying here purely based on location, polite staff, room ambiance and clean maintenance of the property. Special mention to display pictures of different categories of birds and animal s. Thumps up.

Location and ambiance at the The Wildernest, Thekkady is really good. Very quiet even though it's well inside the City. Room is very spacious also toilet too. Now will talk about the facilities. Breakfast we didn't took, we had just coffee n cake. But they gave milk for our son morning n night as per our request. Staff are good. But u don't need much of their service as they do not serve any food over there other than breakfast. Also no room service, it's there policy. But the staff kind enough to gave glass of milk to our room. What I don't like- they don't have any room refreshments usually at this price other The Wildernest, Thekkady which provides. No kettle or coffee making facilities are provided also no toiletries other than soap n shampoo. No exhaust fan at bathroom. Old model tv (but we didn't require that). Area is very clean. Overall I liked the stay.

The The Wildernest, Thekkady is located right next to spice village resort and Ambadi junction. Eco tourism info centre is 100 meters. Park entrance and bus stand at bamboo grove are 1km only. There is no restaurant in the The Wildernest, Thekkady but they serve tea coffee and breakfast etc. The staff is very well trained, immaculate and hospitable. Rooms are very large and some rooms have private terrace attached and the garden although small, is beautiful with huge trees. Ample parking is available. Electric kettle, mini fridge, hair dryer not available. But overall the property offers excellent value for money. Big thumbs up to the staff.

One word for my stay here - Amazing. Every bit, starting from the facade to the room, was very neat and clean and well planned. The rooms were very spacious along with that cute little porch kind of thing. Walk into the room after a long trek into the jungles of Periyar and the serenity and comfort of the place will surely embrace you and make you feel at home (if not better). Each and every member of the staff was extremely polite and friendly. I would surely recommend this place to everyone.

Very novel ambience. You stay amidst trees, wooden craft, monkeys and stone masonry. Gives a very rugged feel. Each room is different from other in size and feel. Some rooms have balconies which are supercool. The solar water heater is an issue. Wastes a lot of water, reliability on timing of hot water and temperature is low. However, the staff is cordial and is eager to resolve any issue quickly. You can reach out to Mr. Rollin there who will assist without any delay.

We fell in love with this place the moment we walked in. The rooms were well ventilated and had ample of light coming in. Rooms were clean and so was the linen. The attached terrace and balcony was where we spent a lot of our time though always looking out for monkeys which keep roaming around. The bathroom was extremely clean too. The only negative aspect was not having a restaurant on site. You need to walk over to places close by for lunch, dinner or breakfast.

Let me start on a good note. The support staff was amazing. They attended to all our demands and requests. Very helpful in explaining to us what to see and when. The ambiance was great and so is the cleanliness of the room (with a room for improvement in WC neatness and offering us with better toiletries. Coming to the negative side. I shelved certain amount per day and felt it atrociously high for the facilities. Breakfast is continental and no South Indian.

There is a periodic visit of the monkey as it's next to the forest but the monkey stay for just 5 mins. They don't harm. The rooms are maintained in a hygienic method there by my parents felt very comfortable. Moreover the room is spacious. The breakfast they provide are the best. I requested for breakfast and coffee at 4am, without any hesitation they provided me the breakfast with hot cup of coffee to all. This is a must stay location.

One of the best The Wildernest, Thekkadys we stayed in. A very calm, clean and beautiful place well located in Thekkady.

Excellent room was given & front office staff were courteous. Breakfast was the same for the couple of days we have stayed. Hotel was situated in an excellent location that was close to churches, shops, etc,. Overall it was a wonderful holiday there at Thekkady & Wildernest tried to make it better....

The The Wildernest, Thekkady is very close to the periyar tiger reserve. The feel of the place is amazing. Everything is nice and clean, it gives you a feeling of being close to nature. The rooms were spacious and the staff was cordial. Only suggestion is that they should add vegetarian options for breakfast too.

Rooms are huge plus amazing ambience... A sweet balcony attached to each room where you can relax and castle like feel in this property... Though they don't have room service but amazing place to stay if in Thekkady..
