The Yakha Retreat and Spa

The The Yakha Retreat and Spa is located in a serene uphill location and most of the view points like Delo, sky-view points, paragliding stations etc are very near. The The Yakha Retreat and Spa is away from the rush and pollution of Kalimpong town. We stayed in room no 205 which is the best suite of the The Yakha Retreat and Spa and gives you a breathtaking view of snow clad Kanchenjunga peaks. In night you will get the view of blinking night lights of town. Rooms are very neat clean. The best thing about the room is comfortable bed, window-side sofa, wooden interior and a very nice dimmed light ambience. Food is a bit costly still value for money. All the items are freshly cooked as per orders. The open restaurant just outside the reception is offers you the experience to have food while you watch the stunning view of 270 degrees mountains. There is a small lawn just by the side. Also a very nice lobby at the ground floor where you can read a book or do some activity. Other than this, the building is decorated with yellow lights and in night, you won't be able to resist yourself from taking one pic of this. The staff are co-operative and helpful. Reception area is also very nice. There is facility for the stay of drivers at very nominal rates with food. The only improvement required in the The Yakha Retreat and Spa are, an improved Wi-Fi system to cover all the rooms with high speed internet. Over all I will give 10 on 10 marks to the The Yakha Retreat and Spa for offering such a wonderful stay.

The The Yakha Retreat and Spa is situated just 10 minutes aw a from dell park, and 4minutes from hanuman mandir in kalimpong. If you stay here you are completely aw a from the cacophony of the main kalimpong market and bus stop area. Most of all the owner of the The Yakha Retreat and Spa stays himself in this The Yakha Retreat and Spa on the top floor, if any problem arrives he is free to contact any time and i've never seen such hospitality from the owner himself from any The Yakha Retreat and Spas in my life i've ever stayed. He is a perfect gentle man and very amicable to his guests. How ever stays here will surely visit again if one visits kalimpong again. I will definitely recommend everyone who's planning to visit kalimpong to stay there. The location is a treasure for nature lovers. One drawback is that we went there with per own car, and faced some difficulty climbing the final road towards yakha. But if you face any problem just call the The Yakha Retreat and Spa they will come and pick your car there. If someone is taking the local car services will need not to worry about this. As we flat landers are not accustomed to go such roads. Everything else is perfect.

The room and the bathroom are built very well. The amenities within the room are great. However, the service is weird. It’s not run very professionally, or in a The Yakha Retreat and Spa-like fashion. The staff is super complacent. They are sweet and really nice to you but really poorly trained. The food is alright but takes forever to come. We knew this thanks to reviews so we would place our orders 2-3 hours in advance. One night we needed water and were surprised to find out that there was no one at the reception, in the kitchen or anywhere in the building. It was super scary because we were the only ones in the entire building that night as no other guests had checked in. I had to call their ops manager who doesn’t stay on property and yell at him for a staff member to come give us water. Other than the service, the stay was alright. There are some trails around the The Yakha Retreat and Spa that can be explored on foot, we really enjoyed that.

Just came back from a vacation in Kalimpong where I stayed at the Yakha Retreat and Spa. The The Yakha Retreat and Spa is super clean, elegant and very well located. The staff were amazing especially in the reception Mr.Robin spent a very long time explaining to me about the places to visit in Kalimpong which helped me save time and get the most of my vacation. All other staff were great and had smile on their face all the time. The food was great and ginger tea was remarkable. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay there every time I am in Kalimpong.

Location was very nice. Top of the hill above 6000 ft. You can see Kanchan Jhangha from your room. All staffs are friendly. Room is big enough. Nit and clean. Just I have only one concern about food, that its too spicy. There should be 2-3 items less oily and spicy. So all people of any age group can enjoy food there. Overall stay was very nice. Again want to go

We have enjoyed our stay at mountain view rooms. We can have rhea luxury to view mt. Kanchenjungha from our room. Room are very clean with all modern amenities. Staffs are very well behaved and humble. We had dinner included in our booking. Food was good and nice with a touch of local flavor. Specially i want to mention about " buddy" our four legged labrador friend, he is a cute adorable pet of the The Yakha Retreat and Spa owner.

Yakha is a wonderful runaway place from the busy hustling metropolitan life, you can spend some good time taking walk on the empty cold roads around the place. The place is a bit far away from the town and basic amenities aren't easily available around easily. Going to town and coming back at very low cost. yeah sharing also available. They have a very limited and expensive menu but whatever they provide is well cooked.

Beautiful property, a little off beat. The staff is soft spoken and helpful. Rooms were clean and worth the money. Would love to recommend this place to everyone who wants to stay away from the crowded town. Beautiful rooms with much space and amazing views. Where is the discount code ?
