TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty

Stayed 6 nights here in a double room (room#5 on second floor. Room was clean and neat, towels and soap provided. Bed was hard, but front desk made alternate arrangement to make it comfortable. 2 pillows and a nice blanket that kept us warm and two more pillows and two extra blankets in the cupboard. Room had a wardrobe, a dressing table and a mirror and luggage storage. There was enough space. Led tv with a number of channels was also provided. Room had a geyser, so 24 hours hot water. Two chairs in the room, a centre table, a dresser stool, another chair in the balcony were the other furniture. Two plug points are provided to charge your devices, but suggest carrying a multipin adapter for charging more devices. Complimentary breakfast was south indian - though nearly the same menu - idly, dosai, pongal, up-ma & vadai with 2 chutneys and sambar + coffee or tea. All items tasty, well prepared and did no hard to the stomach. Service in the restaurant was quick and efficient. We did not eat lunch or dinner there. Cons:only con is the bathroom - very poorly designed - using shower was a pain as the wc was very close and very little room to stand. The flooring is antiskid, so you are safe. Room flooring was tiles and it could get cold in the nights if you stand barefoot. Pros: well located on the upper bazaar - close to commercial road, charring cross signal etc. But at the same time a little away in a calm, quiet, peaceful location so that you do not hear any traffic or other noise. Tip: look for the iob atm opposite ab restaurant, climb the steps and turn right and walk about 100m to reach the TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty! the room had a nice view, lawns underneath, town buildings and mountains in the background. Yes, it had a nice balcony though this is the most economical room. Lift is available. There is also a bar in the premises. Restaurant serves veg & non-veg food and fairly spacious. There are also halls for functions/conferences. Front desk was friendly and helpful and responded well to our needs. Though government owned, service and cleanliness is very good and as good as any well maintained private TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty. Thanks to the local management and team for making our stay pleasant. Will not hesitate to stay there again.

Dividing my review in pros and cons, pros 1)location of TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty is perfect. Market is very near, botanical garden, rose garden are hardly 10mins walk, ooty railway station is 20-25mins walk, u get a good view from TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty room's balcony 2)rooms are also good, clean when we checked in, very large rooms, u wont feel claustrophobic, lighting is good, balcony is nice. 3) parking space is ample, if you are coming via your own vehicle, you will get parking very easily in front of TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty. 4)reception people are nice, staff is nice 5) no problem in bringing outside food and moreover you can order via swiggy, zomato as this TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty is very near to main market, you can order food from vast variety of restaurants, dominos, pizza hut, ab etc cons 1) restaurant prices are fine but they didnt have everything available whts mentioned in their menu when we went there for dinner although breakfast menu was ok, in breakfast buffet they had limited options like tea/coffee, plain dosa, rasam, pongal, idli and wada. 2) bathroom is very big no doubt, they had geyser, but the washbesan tap was leaking, i tried very hard but unable to stop leaking 3)service is very slow, i asked for water in my room at the time of checkin and had to call 3 times so that someone from service people could bring me water and fill the jug kept in the room. Overall i will give 4/5 rating to my stay at this TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty, booked double deluxe room, got room on 2nd floor which is same floor as restaurant so easy to go for breakfast buffet (8am to 10am. Loved the stay. Hopefully they improve the things i pointed and rest is fantastic. Not to mention its safe for couples, me and my wife had a good stay here )

Hotel tamilnadu is located inside the city and within 1km is the botanical garden. A lot of restaurants are nearby (within 400 meters, including a2b, kfc, pizza hut, kuppaiha, blue hills etc there is a bar attached, but it was not up to the mark. Rooms are neat and clean. It was off-season when we visited, so the price was a little less, and the rush was not there. Staff was-polite and helpful. Lunch at TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty tamilnadu was below avg and not much options. Complimentary breakfast had 4-5 options and it was tasty. Enough parking space for car and bike, no need to worry about parking. There is 2 TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty tamilnadu 1 and 2. Tamilnadu TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty 1 is the main. Room is neat and clean, little old building, we stayed in basic room.

Located at the heart of the city, tjis TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty offers a beautiful ambience all around. I think almost all rooms have a view of the hills. We stayed in the second floor a. Will advise to prefer any floor other than ground. The front desk as well as all other staff were polite and quick to respond. The room was neat and clean. Had 24 hrs hot water. The restaurant offered tasty food at reasonable prices most affordable during off seasons. Will love to come back strongly recommended.

Property of ttdc, well mainted, big rooms with all required amenities, 24 hrs hot water supply, free breakfast and 24 hrs hot water facility. It is located almost the centre of the city and easily accessible to bus stand, station and sight seeing purpose. Thanks to mm t again for arranging such wonderful place for me in ooty.

The property is almost in centre of city and a bit uphill so it avoid all the city noise. I was here for 2 nights and i loved my stay. The rooms are ok not so luxurious. But the food options within the TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty are limited. Bathrooms are clean. The staff is nice. Bar has limited options but they are enough to enjoy ooty weather. I will definitely choose it again.

Our stay was very pleasant and peaceful. Hotel is located in a calm and serene atmosphere the whole team of staff at every point of service was very pleasing and obliging. Excellent location, excellent staff, excellent views, excellent rooms, 24hrs hot water, tasty and sufficient breakfast. All together with a reasonable price. This is the second time i stayed here with my family. The bar section also attached with the TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty. But, we didn't got any kind of disturbance from the bar/it's customers. Excellent stay.

The TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty is almost 40 years old but maintained properly with very large rooms, neat and clean beds. The TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty has greenery all around and peaceful environment. Service is good considering its govt run.

Hotel is not as per expectation. Poor service, ok food, don't expect too much here. Just use the TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ooty for rest only.

We stayed in a double room as well as a cottage. Location was great, security was good, rooms were ok, clean, although not well maintained ( damp on walls, old furniture, service was ok, the complimentary breakfast was good.

Both the TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ootys in which we stayed where in the heart of ooty city, charring cross and shopping and dinning facility where in both the TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ootys nahara and ttdc. The rooms where clean and tidy and complementary break fast was also good in ttdc, the TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu, Ootys where at very nominal charge not expensive

Staff need to prompt more. They need to understand customer requirements
