Uday Backwater Resort

I accidentally end up booking at uday backwater resort, but i am glad that i had done that. The Uday Backwater Resort is probably the best in alleppey. They upgraded our room for free. Welcomed us with a nice cake. I loved the build up of property. Its big and having all luxury amenities including swimming pool, swing facing backwater, a well maintained guraden with nice rabbits and kiwis. Our room had all facilities you would expect in a 5 star Uday Backwater Resort. The food was also very tasty. The morning buffet style breakfast was amazing with a lot of options for vegetarian. I would accolade their entire staff, but specially mr vimal who had helped us find our day cruise houseboat. He had also taken care of our luggage even post our checkout as we were on our day cruise. Overall this Uday Backwater Resort is best in alleppey. It gives you backwater view too as it is on the bank of famous alleppey backwaters.

We stayed for 2 nights at uday backwater resort. The resort is situated at a very prime location if you want to stay close to the backwaters. The resort is spread over several acres of land, with a well maintained swimming pool, gardens, restaurant and a private jetty. We had booked a houseboat cruise and the backwaters on which the resort is located are huge and the houseboat could come pick us up from the private jetty of the resort. The only problem we faced was the access road to the resort if very narrow and it may be difficult for a big car to pass through although not impossible. It will also be good if some activities like indoor/outdoor games, are kept in the resort. Spa is available. The restaurant is good with helpful staff.

The location of the resort is just on the backwaters. The view is stunning. The rooms are spacious and very beautiful with a balcony view of backwaters and a swimming pool. Cleanliness and hygiene standards are very good. We received a very warm welcome at the entrance. The food menu, spa and boating charges are a bit high so spa n boating can be considered outside. For food there is nothing upto 4-5 kms so you need to rely on resort itself. Breakfast buffet is very good, dinner buffet could be better. One scope of improvement is they can increase the lighting at evening hours, it's very dim n the light fountains shown in picture were not there. Tea and coffee at lake side was a great experience. Overall very good stay

We (two families) stayed for one night on 4th feb. 2024. The resort is located at the edge of the back water lake. Overall atmosphere is quite peaceful and serene. Staffs were very helpful and courteous. There are few activities which you can enjoy. We enjoyed swimming pool, canoeing, fishing and cycling. Buffet dinner and breakfast were also very good. This is really a nice place to spend few days away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Only two things i would recommend: 1. Change the dustbin in the toilet with better quality. The plastic bucket now doesn't match with the quality of the Uday Backwater Resort. 2. Please keep some hand towels in the toilet.

The property is amazing. And there's lots of amenities. Went with mine and friends family. Only thing we felt required improvement was the service at restaurant. It was laggy and We got side breads around 20 mins. earlier than the main dish, and by that time the nan n all got cold and hardened. We also ordered for Tikka platter and received its dip also after the tikka was over. So only the restaurant service needed an improvement according to us. By all other means this place is Amazing to stay and is a pure enjoyment ❤️

Hotel location is amazing also food is good not great. Staff is humble and helpful. Hotel has a lot of things to do, however i would suggest allepey to honeymoon couple only not for friends kind of trip as there is not much to explore also all sight seeing places are far off so one has to take cab or auto for full day and major problem of kerala trip is one has to take cab or auto and both are expensive if i compare it to other tourist locations. Undoubtedly, kerala is beautiful must visit place.

Me and my wife enjoy our stay so much. We went in weekdays so the resort was less crowded and calm. Room was very clean and pro-pertly sanitized for our stay. Special mention to the pool in the resort, it's facing the back water view and it was super clean. Also the breakfast was good, there were so many varieties and the taste was also good. Overall we were happy with the stay and we were also happy with the hospitality provided. We would come back for sure.

From the moment i walked through the doors, the level of hospitality and attention to detail exceeded my expectations. The staff members were not only professional but also incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities were impeccable, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

It was my dad’s bday i booked the resort for my family. They loved it and my sister and mom was so happy the rooms were clean and food was delicious. I’m so grateful

An excellent stay at the heart of alleppey. The resort is in directly in the skirts of backwaters and has direct access. One can enjoy jetty rides, speed boat rides, kayaking etc. Just reach out to reception and they will help. Food is a+ class. (even a paradise for vegetarians.

Amazing location with 5 star amenities and services. Food was nice. Lot of activities fishing, carrom, pool, chess etc

Good property, clean room and wash rooms. Staffs just ok, balance everything ok, narrow road to property.

Resort stay for 1 night was very good, with view of back waters, cycling, swimming pool and facilities provided. Only thing there are no food options to explore nearby and have to rely on in-house restaurant

The stay was pleasant. Staffs are well behave food is above average. The view from is not so exceptional but still they have very beautiful garden and pool.

Properly is very beautiful and located near back water reataurent taste was also amazing but it took lot time for service rest everything was soo good staff is so polite amazing view from my balcony
