Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel

Stayed for a week. After wrapping up all the tourist attractions, enjoyed staying at the Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel as there’s always so much to do and try. 1. The Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel staff is never intrusive or trying to butter you up and are graciously hospitable. 2. The food is a mix of the local and continental cuisine. We tried buffet dinners every night and it was worth it. There are 3 restaurants altogether and two bars to choose from. 3. They have 3 clean and maintained pools and one next to the beach side. Pretty strict lifeguards too that don’t let ppl fool around and one can peacefully work on their tan. 4. A good thai spa with a caring staff that would guide you for the massages that’ll actually help you and not shoot for the expensive ones that won’t provide much relief. 5. For foreigners and expats and international couple like me and my wife. I’d suggest you stay here for your time in kovalam since it’s safe & clean. Some notes - * kovalam won’t have uber/lyft/ola operating. Your only mode of transport would be rickshaws that charge based on their mood. To get back and forth (especially back to your Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel at night, it’s better to have a Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel to arrange cabs for you. The Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel has its own fleet and staff that can drive you at a good price that you don’t really need to negotiate or compare. So please bear in mind that commute needs to be well planned since different attractions are pretty far from each other and a good planned taxi is a godsend and uds handled it well. *a lot of locals don’t communicate beside their own language of comfort and some can communicate in english but the Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel staff were fluent in a number of broader languages so you the barrier wasn’t there at all for us.

Grand entrance 2 nights 3 days stay three pools in resort. 8amto8pm. One pool with bar on side nice hospitality. Staff at reception maybe busy sometimes because of too many guest checking in and out. However ignore that if you can. Gujaratis, south indians, north indians, foreigners all type guests are there. Manager denjith helped me lot. My room was deluxe. It was upgraded to atrium by them. It is on top foor. But it had too much noise n vibration of ac units running on terrace. So i requested denjith. He upgraded my room to premium sea view. Room was available that day. Room was huge with big bathroom, nice balcony, seaview, sofa, recliners, table, wood ceiling etc. Features room service is good bar restaurant the lounge staff is great. Restaurat is a bit pricey. Approx 1500 per person for alacart full meal. Liquor is costly. Cheap food options available across the street. Cleanliness good. Nice breakfast. 5star like. They have easy beach access. But tides may be high. So we used kovalam beach to swim. Its just 3km away. All in all i had great experience there. Recommended for gujaratis.

It was a great stay. The staff especially front office managers like Ms. Menon and Subish are excellent. We reached a little early for checkin time and they accommodated us, upgraded to a different room just so that we don’t feel totally tired waiting in the lobby; attention and care in such small detailing! Very impressed. They were flexible when we changed some plans we had already paid for, they are very accommodative and supportive. I was very happy all through the stint there, the Ayurvedic massages were amazing! Great staff there too. Food was very good, their Thai cuisine is surprisingly very good! They organised for a temple visit through special darshan - there too, right from the driver Biju to everyone in travel desk involved - excellent service. My son and I had come for a beach getaway time and worked beautifully for us. There was technically no beach because of super high tides but our time was spent so well and pleasant. We had a great stay at uday samudra kovalam in 2016, during our first visit to kerala. This time when we planned a second trip to kovalam in march 2024, we had no second thoughts about where we’d be staying. Uday samudra it was and clearly we had made the right decision once again. This place has the most positive vibe about it and you can feel it the moment you enter its premises. It’s a beautiful property with lots of green and open spaces. The location is right next to the samudra beach and it’s the perfect spot to view beautiful sunsets! the food is great and the lavish breakfast and lunch/dinner spreads have something for everyone. The staff is very well behaved and courteous and always ready to help. We will come back to this place if we get a chance to visit kovalam again.

The property was not as good as i expected. This does not provide you the facilities of a 5 star Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel. Rooms were good but the bath fittings and ac and other things in the bed rooms give a reflection of a average Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel room. Their complimentary evening snack was nothing but like a roadside tea. The beach just outside the Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel was not properly cleaned. The good thing is that out of few good properties in the area it is one. They serve good foods but the kitchen remains open till 10:30. Thereafter you cannot get any proper meal except samosa and sandwiches.

Our stay in uds was nice and we had a good experience. From checkin to checkout everything was smooth, this property is very near to beach and we can spend time near to the beach. Sea view in the evening and night was very nice. Well maintained property and very supportive staff. We had dinner and breakfast here, food was good and lot of varieties were available. Restaurant was very good and child friendly. Staffs were enquiring for small kids if anything required to prepare specifically. Hotel is near to highway and easily accessible. Over all it was a good experience.

Buffet breakfast menu is Good and some items we expected in Kerala Cuisine was not there.Example Kappa with Fish 🐠 gravy and Appam with Coconut milk.Very less fish items.Juice items missing.This private beach ⛱️ not maintained properly.Lot of stray dogs and they make the beach dirty so unable to enjoy.Steam bath is without guidance.Good Hospitality.Drivers were not given dormentry for staying . Ambience is good.Bookng through Make my trip very much satisfying.We will Continue to book Uday Samudra Leisure Beach Hotel 🏨 through Make my trip.Thank you.

I had stayed there for one night with my family. Architecture is good. Very limited parking but valet service is available. Check-in process took a very long time as there were quite a few guests. Counters appeared to be understaffed. Room were clean but a bit old. Restaurants were good. Food variety and taste was okay. Pools were good. Beach was nearby but was quite small in size. As rocks prevented one from moving to the other side. Easily accessible from the city.

Great property with a clear view of the sea, even from the pool view rooms, although there's no beach and the sea is inaccessible. V neat and clean and a good breakfast spread. The staff are also v courteous and helpful.

We had a good experience at uday samudra. The staff was quite friendly, property was hygienic and well maintained and the food was good. The best thing was the ocean view from our balcony which was breathtaking!
