Varadhar Guest House : suitable for budget travel

Located near Sri Varadaraja Perumal Tirukovil, Varadhar Guest house is an innocuous facility perched on second floor of a building whose ground floor and first floor are occupied by resident families. It is in a side street with old surroundings. The building and vicinity is not impressive, but inside of rooms are Ok. It may have seen its hey days in past. For pilgrimage purpose, if nothing fancy is required, this facility is value for money. Walkable distance to Sri Varadarajaperumal Tirukovil, it is 4km from Kanchipuram bus stand. Share autos ply regularly on main road 100m away, charging 20 rupees to bus stand. City buses are also available. Ekambareswar temple and Kanchi Kamakshi temples are near bus stand. For budget travellers this is suitable. Room cleanliness is OK (could be made better with regular dusting). Staircase was in need of sweeping. Bed linen is passable. Overall its Ok for budget traveller seeking value for money. Good Veg resteraunts are available 200m away. This is like a standby facility for the owner whose main facility could be the Adhi Residency located nearby in CN Annadurai Street.

Don’t book varadhar guest house

familyI would recommend no one to book this varadhar guest house forever. First of all there is no property called varadhar guest house. Secondly the location and phone number as per mm t is wrong. Thirdly, they made us to run around and asked as to stay in hotel ad-hi residency. Rooms are two small for 3 beds as compared what is written for varadhar guest house. There is no service facility. There is no parking. Price for 3 beds at ad-hi is 30% cheaper than varadhar. The manager was saying write your terrible experience in review. Overall it was terrific stay.
