Vels Cliff

Room is not clean and property owner is not even picking call. Toilet flush is not working properly. They didn't care about customers. Terrible breakfast not even worth it. Only positive is view of cliff rest all worst. No shops nearby only swiggy is working. If you don't have personal vehicle pls avoid this stay. Book another property within city. Overall terrible experience.

The room was decent and it had a really good view, but the problem was with the service. Since there was only one caretaker to take care of every room. So I asked him for water and we didn’t get water all night even after him, telling me that he will get me the water as soon as possible, he couldn’t and my family has to sleep without drinking water. There is no facility of restaurant and also I found some of the basic amenities is missing like brush and toothpaste, he provided toothpaste after me asking.

The stay is comfortable, clean, homely. The view from the homestay is worth it all. Beautiful view of the hills and the chill breeze is all you need for a healthy break from your daily hustle. One shouldn't miss on the warm breakfast in the morning. Chill in the evenings by the bonfire, play carom if you are travelling with friends/family.

The view of the hotel it so stunning, but rooms is very bad, the hotliers doesn't clean the rooms, and washroom, they doesn't provide complimentary water , and breakfast, bad hotel for family and couple

There's no proper care takers, not clean suits for bachelors not couples the views from the room are very good and breathtaking. For food it's better to eat and take parcels while check-in itself. For couples it misses the romantic environment it will definitely spoil your trip

no comments, simply waste

We booked Vels Cliff in Ooty with a confirmed reservation. After traveling 1.5 hours to reach the place, the host told us all rooms were full and they couldn’t give us one—even though we had already paid and had confirmation. They then tried to shift us to another property they owned, asking for an extra ₹1000. That place was in a bad location, no view, no amenities as promised. We refused, and they offered another place 500 meters away. With no choice and time running out, we had to take it. They overbook during the season and push people into their low-quality rooms to make more money. The original property was never meant to be given. Totally disappointed. Felt cheated. They ruined our trip.

Room was not upto the expectations. Not well maintained. Limited facilities.

Amazing views. Oy difficulty was to find the place

The place is very homely and is clean but needs some renovation and the building needs to be re painted. The view from the room balcony is breathtaking.

Nice room and peaceful atmosphere. Friendly staff. Will choose this stay once again if comes to Coonoor next time. Little bit far from main road. Once reached the hotel, you would love the surroundings. Food service is so nice.

very horrible experience, very untidy and unclean rooms it very difficult to reach there it's like out of the town location at night after switching off the lights the light keep flickering in every 5 mins , market area very far , Auto charges are very high from bus stand to reach there ,Better to take a room in ooty. They don't have inhouse restraunt and swiggy and zomato also don't deliver food there as it is very far from market area no worth

Very terrible experience, it far from the city center, it's very difficult to reach there, the room were not clean and untidy, bathrooms were unclean and at night after switching off the light the lights keep flickering all night it dist-rubs sleep it's a old house turned into a homestay. Market area is very far from there zomato and swiggy won't deliver food there. Views are not that pretty as shown in the comments section. According to 2300 it is way more expensive. You can find very good and clean hotels in the budget of 1500 rs also

Out of town experience, spacious room, scenic view and good service. Lil bit of off road experience but worth it

Property is really at awesome place. I had already read some bad reviews about untidy rooms and unpleasant hospitality of hotel. Perhaps i preferred to stay there because of lovely views from this hotel. I thought the hotel owner checked this review and may improved. But when i visited i found rooms are in same condition even i brought their attention towards issues. I told owner and care taker that please improve this and send me the photos of room after cleaning so i can give good reviews about your hotel. But it's not happened because they may not ready to change themselves. Even they are reluctant to provide breakfast dinner in time. Lot terms of condition without own responsibility.

Place has a lot of potential. Very good views. But poorly maintained property. Food was amazing though. Simple

We, senior citizens, stayed at this place for 2 days. The caretaker, cook and all good. But the place is not good. Bed on bricks. Room with low ceiling. Old house turned into homestay, probably. We had to sleep on floor and scared by a big bee too.

We had a pleasant stay at vel’s cliff, the host vinoth was very friendly and helpful made our stay very comfortable, food served was fresh, non spicy and tasty.
