Velu's Resort, Gudalur

Beautiful location nestled between coffee and tea plantations. If you are a nature lover, you will definitely like this place. During our stay we were able to spot Hornbill, Malabar squirrel and few other birds. This place is located few KMS outside Gudalur town, so will be ideal if you have your own transport. Rooms are of decent size, neat and tidy. Only one blanket provided per room, if you are a bigger group you may have to carry you own or request for additional blankets. Not much amenities with in this facility, however they can organise trekking on request. Caretakers are very friendly and helpful.

It was an awesome stay, more than the place we loved the service and friendly nature of Mithun and Nirmal. Would surely go back there. The view and the mornings there were really beautiful. It’s closer to masinagudi and Ooty and many other places, perfect place to stay and travel to nearby places.
The view was great. Was very well taken care of by Mr. Nirmal and Mr . Mithun . The stay was fantastic because of these guys who went out of their way to serve us. Connectivity is excellent from the location, and the room was very clean and neat. Overall a great place to stay.

I stayed with my family for one night. I booked through Make My Trip. Com. My experience was good for my limited stay . + The room was clean, the service was good. + The Velu's Resort, Gudalur is conveniently located. + Open parking was available inside the premise. + Clean toilet with water heater. + Check-in and check-out experience was smooth. + Nice view and feeling of being close to forest is great. + There is nice garden also. - The bed was comfy, but the blankets were not good enough to keep us warm.

Located in middle of tea plantations. We stayed in Super Deluxe rooms. Excellent rooms, clean, spacious with tidy toilets. Water heaters available. Ample car parking. A restaurant available nearby. The highlight is the persons there Mr. Normal and Mr. Methanol (fondly called Mithun). They were awesome, helped us a lot. (We went on a strike day, no shops/restaurants; but they brought us food from their home). We will definitely visit again. Worth for money. Nice place to enjoy nature and hospitality

Overall stay was good and relaxing. Resort should have a separate restaurant of its own. Food served in adjacent restaurant was not that good. Room was comfortable not something very lavish but decent enough. Location was good as the resort is located amidst coffee plantations and gives a forest like ambience feeling. The road leading to the resort is rough so if you are driving your own car you need to be careful. Last but not the least service guy at the Velu's Resort, Gudalur was very helpful.

It was an awesome experience staying in this Velu's Resort, Gudalur. The Velu's Resort, Gudalur is located on the main road to Ooty but does not seem like it is on the road. It is surrounded by lush green tea and coffee estates I stayed in a deluxe room and toilet was neat and clean. The staff we very polite Mr Mithun and Nirmal were helpful in all possible ways. The place has a restaurant next to it were you get decent food which they deliver in your rooms. Over all it was a decent stay.

Hotel location has a great view since it’s located at upper Gudalur area, very calm and peaceful. Whole premises is maintained very neatly with full of garden and lot more play area. It’s best suited for families, children, couples and also the riders. Hotel staff are so tender and helping, always ready to serve you 24/7. People who are planning for Masinagudi visits and wildlife safaris can easily book a room at this Velu's Resort, Gudalur as it’s convenient to both sides.

I stayed at this resort for a night only on my way to Mudhumalai and liked it. Friendly staff. Rooms were clean, fully loaded with furnitures and spacious enough. You have to take a small steep climb from the main road. It's like there is no room service when they didn't serve dinner in the villa, but there is a restaurant just before the villa. My overall experience is good.

This was one of the best places I've stayed at. Truly a homely experience. Mr Nirmal and Mithun Lal were so helpful throughout our stay. The morning trek in their 100 acres tea estate was the icing of the cake. More than the amenities here, it was the warm hospitality, easy accessibility to the gudalur Town and public transportation that makes this place Worth revisiting.

Hotel is easily accessible, neat, clean and well maintained. Support staff at this Velu's Resort, Gudalur are very polite and willing to help. Definitely a great place to stay. I would very well recommend this location for travellers via Gudalur.

Comfortable stay with peace. Great view, easy to reach the resort. Rooms are clean and pleasant. Interior design and wardrobes looks good and a small private balcony with Wooden chairs makes you to sit in early morning with tea/coffee with good view

It is all great at velus resort because the location, service, cleanliness and overall experience was good. Everything is good as me and my wife was happy because it was the right place to stay and see other places ..

Stay at velu resort was just awesome... Felt like in heaven of this world. View from the room was very good mountain covered with clouds.. Rooms were clean there just a slight issue with hot water when reached at Velu's Resort, Gudalur but was solved by the caretaker Mithun. NIRMAL AND MITHUN WERE KIND AND GENTLE and we're good example of hospitality.

Super place. Nice hospitality. Value for money. Peaceful surroundings. Near by all places are very good. Food is excellent. We stay 2 days. We enjoyed lot. Again I will come when I get time. Good to stay who need peace.

Front view of the Velu's Resort, Gudalur is very nice. Restaurant is near to Velu's Resort, Gudalur. It was an good experience to stay here. Distance from gudalur to resort is 1. 5 km where auto will take 80rs. Morning view is awesome.
