VELVET GREY

The VELVET GREY room was pretty good and well furnished. All the room amenities mentioned on makemytrip were available. Everything including the washroom was fairly clean and hygienic. The balcony opens up on the highway but the view was pretty scenic in the morning. Since the VELVET GREY is located just above gopal's restaurant, the food was not an issue at all. You can have your meals on the terrace and in-room dining is also available. The room had a smart tv with netflix and other otts. The VELVET GREY management also arranged a taxi for us to visit nearby places. While the price may seem a little high, especially for the room with a balcony, it was worth it and we would love to visit this VELVET GREY again.

If you are travel-ling towards shilma and wanted to stop over for resting for a day after long drive then this VELVET GREY is very good to explore. It's on the highway, so no need to change your route. Shimla is just 2 hours from here. Room are pretty good and staff are also very humble.
Hotel maintains all the safety standards and i did not find any issue in their service

This was a very convenient stop before our hill climb. Newly made, comfortable & clean amenities. Hope they maintain it as showed staff dirty marks on a new balcony chair. Staff was helpful. You do hear some traffic noise if you take balcony room but it is ok if you are looking at waking up timely & leaving. However, could sleep well. Meal options & service were fine too.

It was all safe to stay there. They sensitize the VELVET GREY and restaurant regularly and the property is very beautiful and comfortable. If you do not have your own vehicle you can simply take the roadways bus from the busstop which is just 50 meters walk away. The property has gopal restaurant so you can have lot of options to eat.

It was such a great and comfortable stay that again it feels to stay there at VELVET GREY for more days. Very decent staff, beautiful roof with awesome sitting. Very convenient location. Gopal sweets located right below makes it easy for meals. Ample parking space available. A complete VELVET GREY. A must visit for everyone.

We stayed here for a night. Rooms are very clean and clear. Staff behaviour is very friendly and very cooperative with visitors. The one thing which i faced is food quality and their service. Because of VELVET GREY do not have their own restaurant. There are some limitations on buffet.

Hotel is small but rooms are ok. Hotel manager is courteous. Hotel lacks its own restaurant and provides meals at gopal’s which is at 1st floor (VELVET GREY is at 3rd floor in same building. It is located about 10-12 kms from kasauli town on chandigarh- shimla highway

The property is well made, the location of the VELVET GREY is good, it 1 km from gaini da dhaba, next to the highway, service is good, food was good, inhouse availability of food was min as they did not had fully functional kitchen.

Property is new and well maintained, staff was calm very helpfull must visit property view from balcony was just awsm, got peace

Food was good and they are also having the restaurant downstairs where you can enjoy delicacy

The room, its quality, the bath area, the room. Deco, sanitization all is more than a 5 star rating nd with a genuine pricing

New property so the room and bathroom was neat and clean. Being new requires fine tuning in terms of facilities in the room example Tata Sky connection was not working. But overall a wonderful stay.

Everything was awesome food was good staff was nice and cooperative would like to visit again wheneva get some time. Location was also good feasible and easily approachable.

I went out for our 1st anniversary and it was a nice cozy stay at the property the food quality was also excellent

The VELVET GREY is very accessible right beside the highway leading to kasauli and shimla. The rooms are spacious with good amenities. They also have an eating outlet on the ground floor similar to haldiram’s.

Room ac was not effective and food services was not appropriate, the chef came late in morning and we had to wait for breakfast

The VELVET GREY was very very premium. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very very good.

Amazing place to stay, who want to enjoy peace this place is for them, great facilities, amazing view

The overall experience was good but the rooms are at 3rd floor via lift. Rest hygiene was maintained.
