VGP Golden Beach Resort

I recently had the opportunity to stay at a resort, and while i had an overall pleasant experience, there were a few areas that could be improved upon. The room maintenance left something to be desired, but the food was tasty even if the staff could have been more hospitable. When i first arrived at the resort, i was excited to explore the grounds and see what amenities were available. The resort had a lot to offer, from a swimming pool and nice garden space with sea view. However, when i got to my room, i noticed that there were a few issues with the maintenance. The bathroom sink was clogged, the shower had some mildew, and the carpets were stained. While these weren't deal-breakers, it did detract from the overall experience. On the other hand, the food was definitely a highlight of my stay. The resort had a restaurant on-site that served a variety of delicious dishes. From breakfast to dinner, i enjoyed every meal that i had. However, while the food was great, i did find that the staff lacked some hospitality. They weren't unfriendly, but they didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome or valued as a guest. Overall, i would recommend this resort to others looking for a nice getaway. While there are some areas that could use improvement, the amenities and food are worth the stay. With a little bit of attention to room maintenance and some extra hospitality from the staff, this resort could be truly exceptional.

Planned to spent a weekend in a resort nearby, and that’s when i came across vgp golden beach resort. All resorts around chennai are too pricey nowadays, vgp was also equally expensive. Resort in very, near to the city, property is very huge it will take a entire day to roam around the property. Swimming pool is comparatively small and unattended. Resort seems to have lost its sheen, but rooms were well maintained, indoor games were less. But has huge lawns for outdoor games such as cricket or football. Food is okay but not very good. Private beach is the best part of this resort, it is clean, however beach rest chair or sunshade would be appreciated. The entire resort is too windy, so no badminton etc. Because the resort is very nearby the city and has many halls, many gatherings happen here on a day today basis, so place is bit crowded. Also there is a at outing feature in this resort where we escort charges 1500rs per head and they serve lunch or dinner and allow you to user the amenities in the property except for the room, this would be a good deal.

We booked two sea-facing rooms. Spacious rooms with attached balcony facing the sea. Views are wonderful, we could see the lawn too. The wide lawn was peaceful to walk or workout as you wish. We spent the evening and morning at the swimming pool. It was small yet deep and i enjoyed it a lot. After a swim we walked to the beach with the kids. It was a full moon day and the water was splendid in silver and we had a great time with family talking and enjoying the waves. Food at the resort was very bad, the only drawback. Luckily, we had lunch outside. Dinner was not at all good. Apart from food, the place offers a peaceful environment for couples and family. They don't provide buoys or any swimming gadgets, you have to take them along. Nice to spend time at the balcony having evening tea and chatting with your partner as an author, i could gather my thoughts for my next book, such a lovely place this is!

The property is one of the best in chennai. Serene and calm, with just on the shore of magnificent bay of bengal gives a perfect feel of holiday. The prestige property is filled with greenery and lots of activities to avail from. They have a great team of people who serve you well and make you feel special. The property is so huge that it will take at-least a day or two to explore and also enjoy the one at same time. Loves it. Only issue was the the terrace restaurant, which is a beach view one, was closed and couldnt visit. The bar is not at all advisable if you are going as a family or couple, but fine if you are going alone. Rest everything is good

One of the best resort i have visited till now. The receptionists were really helpful and friendly. Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The room was well equipped and the service was excellent. From the balcony, we could view the sea and feel the cool breeze. The location of our room was absolutely perfect. As soon as you come out of the resort, there is a direct path leading to the beach. It felt like a private beach, very clean and clear water, a very good place to relax and chill. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The view of the sunset from that point was mesmerizing.

Stayed in a garden-view veranda room. Pro : check-in was hassle free. The rooms were quite big and had too many racks and shelves. A/c was good. Room service was and food and the quantity was good. Resort is quiet big with great lawns, kids area, indoor and out door stadiums and partially private beach. Cons : though room was garden view and resort has so many gardens rooms has no view of gardens. Some of the food menu are over priced. I didn't see great hygiene but was decent! overall experience was good & overall rating : 3. 5/5

This lovely beach front property is a one time visit resort with lush green lawns and neat view and ambience. It has vast area for a cool morning walk with added plus point - sunrise. With all these pros, one minus point is about the maintenance of cottages, rooms. Rooms don’t have amenities like kettle and basic tea / coffee kit, slippers. Maintenance could be done a bit more promptly so as to elevate the whole ambience and comfort of the guests. Staff could give an inviting welcome rather than being hostile. Overall 3. 8/5

This stay is one of the best one i have had so far. Everything about this place is just amazing right from the room services to the very near by beach. The entire place is so aesthetic and i am quite impressed by how clean the entire place is. My only suggestion would be to increase the pool timings in the evening. Anyways i would highly recommend this place to my friends and family. Very affordable, comfortable and peaceful stay. Thank you for one such experience

The stay was good. The property is excellent, but lots of mosquitos, brakefast is ok ok.

Polite staff with good hospitality …I stayed in the resort for one night ..the stay was just amazing ..and the food inside the restaurant is good and hygienic ….and the washrooms are maintained well and provided toiletries

Good food good location internal cleanliness is ok beach area is not properly cleaned by resort people my booking was not properly allocated with room and purposefully they allotted first floor room for our family with kids at last minute due to their fault we suffered a lot. Though i booked 1 month before thro mm t the allocation of room was not proper. Special securities are blocking our car every time and asking money - looks like internal toll gates

Maintenance ok and also costs even more than tea coffee not added with complimentary and traditional statues is good
