Villa Cavi

Villa ca-vi turned out to be a lovely place. In pondicherry there is a general shortage of car parking and this place also suffers from that. The place was also on the expensive end, in my opinion. But the negatives end there. Cosy rooms, limited but tasteful breakfast buffet, limited but wonderful lunch/dinner menu, kid-friendliness in behavior of staff (and in general, wonderful staff) - all of it made my stay really nice. The Villa Cavi is pretty much next to the beach, close to the aurobindo ashram and ganpati temple, thus making its location tourist-friendly. The cleanliness was great. The non-alcoholic mini-bar was free-of-cost and reasonable (ordinary but existent. The outstanding part was the behavior of the employed staff, they are awesome. Overall, i loved my stay and shall be back for more.

I checked in on 15th August and stayed upto 18th August. It was a family trip.I booked a sea view room with balcony. The room was spacious, with an all-white and gray theme which added to the vibrancy of the room. The decor was simple yet elegant, at par with its heritage brand. Staffs were very courteous and helpful. Complementary breakfast was great. In Lunch and dinner we had a great assortment of foods. I must mention Chef Nagraj, he made us somw great dishes in lunch. Housekeeping maintenance etc was top notch. Tghe cherry on the cake was the balcony which was directly looking over the rock beach and promenade walking road. Overall an excellent experience. And definitely recommended. In fact, I plan to come back soon and stay in the same Villa Cavi🙂🙂

The villa rooms was beautiful & clean with all the amenities provided. It's a beach front facing villa and located at a central place from where you can visit famous museums, church, mg market, temple etc just a walking distance away. The staffs were very supportive & treat their customers well. The parking space is quite tight as the property is located in busy area but you can always get support from the Villa Cavi staff to get some help on parking your vehicle. The breakfast was good with enough options available & you also get some options like dal khichdi to feed the small kids in case needed. I had a wonderful time & would recommend others to visit once. Property is beautiful. Rooms are spacious. Housekeeping service is a bit slow. Though we checked in, in the evening, still, it took 25 minutes for them to send water bottles and bathroom amenities in room after the checkin. Food taste is good but with a limited set of options for vegetarians. But, many food options and cafes are available in the neighbourhood. The location of this property is amazing and suppresses all the not so good experiences. It is in white town overlooking the bay of bengal. All the sightseeing places are at a walking distance. Rooms are too beautiful and spacious. Overall enjoyed the trip.

The location, rooms and the staff at the Villa Cavi were excellent and very accommodating. As far as location and views go, you will be hard pressed to find a better place. My only complaint is the quality of the food, the prices are on par with other high end restaurants but the portion sizes are half while the quality of food is extremely subpar. Fortunately there are a lot of restaurants within 10-15 min walking distance so that shouldn't stop you from booking this otherwise excellent Villa Cavi.

Villa ca-vi in pondicherry offers a delightful stay in a heritage property, providing a truly immersive experience. The well-appointed rooms contribute to a memorable visit. Its prime location on the promenade ensures convenient access to major attractions within walking distance. However, the pricing seems steep like a 5-star category. But the service and culinary offerings align more with a 3-star standard. Despite this, the overall experience warrants a commendable 4 out of 5 rating.

Villa ca-vi is classic and cute heritage property just in front of promenade beach. Very good food, we tried their see food platter, puducherry special raw mango prawn curry, brownie with ice cream and hot chocolate sauce, chicken satte, magalorean prawn curry, dill i ka chuza makgani everything was delicious. Very courteous staff and prompt service. Being located in white town it has advantages of amazing cafes around it, aurobindo ashram, puducherry museum are nearby.

Nice small cozy property with homely feeling. Welcoming, courteous and friendly staff and owner alike. Good food. Well furnished rooms. Right on the main beach barely few hundred feet from shri aurobindo ashram and famous shri ganesha temple. My only thought was cost - 14500k per room per night for a sea facing room was a bit too high for the size of property (almost as much as radisson in a remote beach. Well i haven o regrets since overall experience was great.

The location of property is just superb, right on to the beach. Food is good, although the menu could be a little more exhaustive. Reasonably good amenities and friendly staff and prompt service.

It was good. Good view of rock beach. Right on beach. Good food. Kids enjoyed the hospitality. Breakfast was good. Breeto who was at reception was very friendly

Went as a solo traveller, the Villa Cavi feels very safe, great food, great location, super great staff, very helpful !
