Heritage property vibes right in the heart of Pondicherry. Great staff and clean property. Worth the money for location

Good host , and staffs. old heritage property, but needs a lot of maintenance, especially for the cost. the walls were damp and had seepage. we had to use a hair band to lock the bathroom door from outside to.keep.it closed wen not in use.

Absolutely loved the stay! We had booked the room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and it was a spacious room with very cute colonial vibes. The bed was very comfortable and totally loved the big bathroom with skylight. The property is well maintained and perfect for enjoying some quite heritage vibes if one doesn't feel like stepping out. The breakfast was decent and the staff very helpful and friendly. The bonus are the two super cute kittens and their mom who are the hotel pets. Highly recommended for a Pondicherry stay.

Superior rooms are a bit congested and stuffy. You might have a problem if claustrophobic. Deluxe rooms with balcony are good and recommended. Breakfast was decent.

Villa Des Gouverneurs was quite the find! Nestled in the quiet lanes of White Town, this place is a heritage stay and is well placed for all major attractions. Angeline & Vasanth were warm and welcoming and the overall vibe was amazing. Awesome location, heritage cozy rooms and excellent food - worth the trip! Definitely Recommend.

Location is perfect, and food was homely it was a very plea-sent stay and staff took really good care of us even though some repair work was in progress

Property is very very ordinary,. Given that december/january is peak season, Maintenance standards are poor. For first day, they gave a room where you can hardly walk, broken door handle, broken telephone, dirty curtains, it was beyond description. When i raised issues, staff changed me to another room which was better than the one on first day-i rate. Breakfast was very ordinary with very limited menu, all pots empty and you have to ask the only staff who was running up and down, to replenish. The good thing is that they did not charge for laundry service and tea/coffee ordered in room.

only benefit with this hotel is its location.service Staff is good but this hotel needs revamp in terms of it's furniture for sure and washrooms

I recently had the pleasure of staying at villa dues gouverneurs in pondicherry, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment i arrived, i was taken aback by the beauty and charm of the place. The villa itself is a stunning blend of french colonial architecture and modern amenities, creating a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights of my stay was how pet-friendly the villa was. My cat had an amazing time exploring the grounds, and it was such a relief to stay in a place that truly embraces pets. The staff were warm, attentive, and made sure we felt right at home throughout our visit. The villa was impeccably clean, and every corner was thoughtfully maintained. The breakfast was another standout. Fresh, flavorful, and with a variety of options, it was the perfect way to start each day. Whether you’re into traditional south indian dishes or lighter continental fare, there’s something for everyone. The only minor issue i had was with the door lock, which was a bit difficult to latch. It wasn’t a major inconvenience, but it did take a little extra effort each time. Overall, my stay at villa dues gouverneurs was fantastic. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting pondicherry, whether you're traveling with pets or simply looking for a relaxing, beautiful place to stay. I can’t wait to return!

No maintenance, room has a woody smell

This property is located near the promenade beach. Only recommendation is that they could increase the cooling power of the air conditioning.

The property is beautiful & the staff is also v. Friendly & helpful. The ac in our room was not working but the staff immediately gave us another room which is v. Much appreciated. Only 1 issue we faced is there are lot pf mosquitoes everywhere in the property. This property is v. Close & at walkable distance to all the near by tourist spots like rock beach, french colony, restaurants. Overall i would definitely recommend this property.

No variety in breakfast. Rooms are okay. No one came to clean the room the 4 day stay. Number of staff is very less

The overall atmosphere and appearance is very good. The staff were nice and friendly. The room was pretty big and the ac was positioned in such a way that the cooling was not effective around the bed. The hotel is located near the beach. This place lacks a proper parking facility inside the hotel. Inside there is a common area with a pretty good ambience.

Beautiful and calm property in the heart of pondicherry. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Property could provide reserved parking for people staying there.
