Visalam Chettinad Palace - a CGH Earth Experience

We had a great experience in visalam. We stayed in visa-lam as part of our rameshwaram chettinad trip. Hospitality is good and the location is also good. Its near to many chettinad mansions. Food was really tasty and we literally enjoyed it. Restaurant staff was very good and they explained each and every item they served us. We had breakfast and dinner part of our package. Swimming pool is another advantage here. I want to inform, if you book, pols don’t book the package which is showing as part of the booking. Bullock cart ride and in room refreshments- fruit basket are the only inclusion in the package. We didn’t get the in room refreshments- fruit basket. Also, for bullock cart ride, it was planned for second day morning, but the staff told the bullock cart driver not feeling well. So they postponed to next day morning. There was no communication after that. While check out i enquired about this. Then they told, the bull is not feeling well and in hospital, so they couldn’t arrange. After return, i raised this and told they got an information from the Visalam Chettinad Palace - a CGH Earth Experience that the bull died, so they couldn’t arrange, i feel this could have been better communicated to us in advance by the Visalam Chettinad Palace - a CGH Earth Experience staff and arrange any thing else to compensate this because we paid for this. So, my suggestion is, don’t opt for the package and once you reach there depends on your interest and availability decide on the extra items like bullock csrt ride etc. Apart from the above, we didn’t had any issues and overall we had a great stay.

Cg h visa-lam is everything you can ask for in experiencing a beautiful chettinad heritage in the heart of kanadukathan. A very well located property that is close to all places you would want to visit in chettinad. The rooms were very spacious and in true chettinad style. We felt grandeur in every aspect of the Visalam Chettinad Palace - a CGH Earth Experience amenities. The staffs were very courteous and accommodating our asks. The little stories and anecdotes they share about the history of the place and the Visalam Chettinad Palace - a CGH Earth Experience itself adds color to your memory of chettinad. One aspect i would like to see is more variety of local cuisine in the menu. I am very happy that i chose to stay in visa-lam and experience the chettinad culture. Would highly recommend this place if you have a chettinad visit marked in your bucket list!

The Visalam Chettinad Palace - a CGH Earth Experience is excellent and the staff is very helpful.... It was an amazing stay... we booked Chettinad Suite, which was amazing! If I had to point out any not so great thing, then that would be as the Visalam Chettinad Palace - a CGH Earth Experience is in city, outside noise can be disturbing in the morning... also since it’s a restoreed property figuring out the switches in the room can be difficult, so contact the Visalam Chettinad Palace - a CGH Earth Experience staff sooner... Anyway it was a fabulous stay... the staff is very helpful, professional and warm... the dinner, breakfast was tasty too☺️

Fantastic experience. Visalam is an old chettiar house restored to the last detail to give the visitors the chettiar mansion experience and it fulfills the objective 110. The stay, the food, the courteous staff all make it a wonderful experience and worth every paisa spent. Great job guys, keep it up.

Excellent hospitality by the staffs.. their cuisines are so authentic and delicious. We feel like home, even after today it feels so much good in our memories. Actually the aunthenticy of the property took us back to our roots, culture, traditions. We had a very peaceful me time ☺️☺️☺️

The room was very good. The pool was very neat and clean. However, the complimentary break fast wasn’t great- hardly there were varieties and even ones given were just okay. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. Overall the stay was comfortable but the property is overrated.

Visalam offered a chettinadu life style experience that was pleasant to all our family members. The location is very peaceful and roaming around the village was an energising experience. It also made us very proud about our history and the cultural heritage.

It was an amazing experience at visalam, food is great, facilities are awesome and staff is very friendly and location is apt!

Beautiful property, staff trained to the highest standards and managed by the casino group. This is is my second stay at visa-lam and we have stayed at various properties of cgh. It’s always a wonderful experience

Heritage property with nice spacious room. Situated near Raja Palace. Cordial staff, traditional welcome at the time of arrival. Serves amazing tea and coffee in the mornings and evening.

Stay was quite comfortable. The set menu for dinner and breakfast is normal and dinner is definitely not value for money. Would have preferred a buffet style than set menu. Food quality is excellent. The coffee/tea stall is a nice touch.
