Vythiri Tea Garden Retreat

We planned vythiri trip after staying at home for 7 months. It was worth it. The view from wooden cottage height is so beautiful that your eyes will feel relaxed. A church faraway in hills makes it even more mystical. They check temperature upon arriving and gave us a sanitizer. The food from the restaurant that they have a tie-up sort of is awesome. Will suit both north n south tastes. Definitely try it's chicken malabar biryani. The compliment breakfast with appams, poori, egg curry were good. The caretaker took care that we felt comfortable. Wish they put an aquaguard for each block so that we don't have to pay for bottle water, but in covid bottles are safer. Also a room heater with proper safety would be a nice touch-definitely visit vythiri and don't worry about covid as it's not crowded, just take your precautions.

I would wish to give a 5/5 first on the hospitality provided by khalid bhai who is the caretaker at this property. He is such a humble person that you indeed feel as if you are interacting with your own family member. I stayed during the christmas eve at the brick cottage with family including a toddler and the best part was you get a complete cottage with cooking gas and utensils which helped a lot by all means the view from the brick cottage is comparatively not great and it's better you opt for the wooden cottage if that's your main need. Apart from that the complimentary breakfast is homely south indian food and you also get a strong wifi with this at no extra charge there is a mini refrigerator and a water purifier in house. The stream which flows down the tea plantation is well maintained and there is a small play area for kids. I would still give khalid bhai as the showstopper at this property and i will surely visit them soon again. Cheers

Actually I planned a trip to wayandu bcoz of my baby Aamimol, Want to celebrate the new year something special and beginning of 2021 must b a special one.. So I selected wayanadu as the destination, bt every place in there are fully occupied and every resort asking much more money coz of the season. I accidentally found the Tea garden Retreat, I had a great stay der, the Tea garden ws superb, Rooms r nice nd well maintained, we can have a small trecking thru the tea gardens and river near by it, if u want u can swim nd njoy the coldness of the river.. The views r best, Its not a luxury one, bt it feels u r in heaven some times... I enjoyed everymoment in der, if u want a barbeque they will arrange it.. And Mr. Khalid, he is the care taker, nd the most humble person nd very kind too.. So over all a must try place with low cost, bt peaceful 😊

The place is little isolated from the noise, crowd, hardly 400-500 meters from the main road. Location wise you can bring your car but the road is literally very narrow. The atmosphere is really nice and you can get the feel of your own home. The property offers individual cottages with two rooms with attach bathrooms, 1 common dining hall with open kitchen with all basic equipment. One can have their tea coffee in the balcony as well. Khalid, the property caretaker was very helpful and very good person. They do not serve food other than breakfast but you can order from the nearby restaurants. Khalid will provide the numbers and menu as well. There is a small garden in front of the cottage. Overall I am very satisfied with my stay and will definitely recommend to stay in the property.

I would give 5 stars for this property if i was on a family trip. Location, scenery, surrounding areas, cleanliness etc were excellent. The problem we faced was related to privacy. I noticed a review about this problem, but i couldn't understand it at that time. The balcony of the room we got was in visual contact with the nearby plot. It is at the same eye level where staff from nearby buildings gather and have chit-chat from evening till night. Sometimes cigarette smoke comes to the room as well. I am certain that this is neither intended nor done by the staff of the property but can be a nuisance to people going for honeymoon / newly married couples. I wrote this just for newly weds to be aware of this. I would still visit this place when i plan a family trip to wayanad.

The room and amenities provided are really great. There is a mini refrigerator and a kettle as well. Room and bathroom were hygienic. The location is very safe and easy to reach. There is a water stream nearby. The staff is very cooperative and helpful. He is such a humble human who is ready to help anytime. The complimentary breakfast provided was good. The only negative i found is the location. It is not exactly as we see in the pictures as there is a lot of buildings around and is not a very close to nature property. Its a tea plantation in the midst of other buildings. But, for a one night stay, the rooms are pretty great.

I stayed for two days its wonderful experience I have. Mr. Khalidh caretaker was very helpful. They need yo get improved in things like a restaurant because they serving inside the room itself. So if they have restaurant option then they avoid odor and left overs of food will and kids play area. Should have to focus, the size of the bed gets large because one family is not sufficient. Laundry also they need to provide because for more than 2 days the stay they have stayed was nice and peaceful and calm atmosphere. Please lookup on the things to get improved overall I give 3. 9 out of 5.

The stay was quite amazing, the serenity of this place is something everyone would appreciate. This being a cottage in a Tea Garden makes it little difficult to reach and park a big vehicle, but in return you get amazing balcony view, fresh air all the time and peace. Khalid is the guy who takes care of the place and all the amenities of the guests, he is an amazing guy, very much approachable, friendly and always smiling and helping. An in-house restaurant will make this place more desirable. Do I want to stay here again when in Wayanad? Definitely yes.

The resort is located at a hill top and in a very peaceful environment. Mr. Khaled (the care taker) was very welcoming and helpful. Plan to visit soon again.

I’ll provide with basic info to help you make a decision. The location is accessible. The stay is in a tea plantation so you will enjoy your view. Kitchen is not Available so online order work - they have tie up with a nearby restaurant. Food was good. We got complimentary breakfast as part of the package. The place has good interiors. It’s nice and peaceful. I’d definitely suggest this place to anyone looking to stay in vythiri district

It’s a pleasant to stay between the estate however only drawback is we do not have restaurant in the place only online delivery available. If restaurant is there which make us to enjoy the nature and grab a good at nice place

The stay was quite amazing with a stunning balcony view connected with mother nature. The room was clean and neat with so many facilities. On the whole, the stay made our trip a memorable one for lifetime

Awesome place to stay. Beautiful view of a Tea Garden, Chembar Peak. We stayed in the wooden cottage. More like home away from home. The place is kept clean and well maintained. Mr Khaleed, the care taker helps in everything you need. Next time in Vythiri, my stay is definitely this.
