“Had a wonderful stay at Wayside Cottage & Treehouse, Munnar. The place was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature. The staff were very nice, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Truly a pleasant experience!”

The property has good surroundings and scenic views, but our stay was very disappointing. Room 108: Window closing slot was broken, so the room was not secure. No proper privacy and no hot water available. Room 104: Bathroom and room were separated only by transparent glass, which was uncomfortable for privacy. Bed Size Mismatch: The queen bed mentioned as suitable for 3 adults + 1 child was much smaller in reality, hardly fitting 2 adults + 1 child. Customer Support: When I raised concerns about the rooms being too far apart for a family booking, the property manager simply said “If you don’t want, you can cancel”. Very unhelpful response. Check-In Issue: At 6:30 PM during check-in, we were given rooms 104 and 108 (far from each other). Later, another group came Room 108 was theirs, which led to a 45-minute argument. This caused unnecessary and ruined our check-in experience. The property may be okay for those who only want to enjoy the scenery, but if you value privacy, comfort, safety, and proper service, this is not the right choice.

“My stay was comfortable overall. The rooms were clean and the staff were polite and helpful. The location is convenient, though it can get a bit noisy at times. Food was decent, but could use more variety. Facilities were good, but some areas need better maintenance.

Excellent service, excellent rooms, excellent location and at a cheap price, rooms had towels, smelled good, clean bathroom the tree house was gorgeous and it has a river tooo on the property!!! ✨

It was a great place , people looking for affordable and for family or couples should plan this. Ideally peaceful for bachelors also unless they not disturbing others. Must try place with Hygiene and one thing to say two people reshmi and sanil kumar welcomes you best and they care the best. The primary thing i love is tree house , stilt house and unforgetabble songs sung by birds when you wake by morning. All shops available nearby also. Please do visit this place

We booked the stilt house at Wayside Cottage, and it turned out to be the worst stay ever. The moment we entered, a foul smell hit us – later we realized the bed itself had a horrible odor. The carpet was dusty, the bedsheet was dirty, and the bathroom had cockroaches crawling around. When we(me and my wife) requested a bedsheet replacement, the owner rudely shouted, disconnected our call, and even blocked our number instead of resolving the issue. There were no caretakers available, and only one of his relatives came during check-in. This shows the complete lack of professionalism and hospitality. In reality, there is no proper parking space. Initially, we were asked to park on the roadside, and only after repeated requests did they allow us to use their personal space, which was very uncomfortable for an SUV. Privacy was another major concern – even with curtains, there were gaps making the bed visible from outside. The owner was extremely arrogant and unprofessional. This place is not worth even ₹500. We checked in at 8:45 PM on 5th September and checked out by 10 PM the same day. With MakeMyTrip’s support, we were allowed to leave, but the owner refused any refund. We had to search for another stay at that night. Stay far away from this property – it is unhygienic, misleading, and run by people with absolutely no respect for guests.

The stay in wayside cotta was very nice and upto the level of expectations. Privacy and the ambience was out of words and they kept a good descent behaviour. Ambience and hospitality is excellent. Good staff and service. Rooms are clean and good. We had a pleasant stay. Calm environment.

It was the most beautiful scenic place I stayed. Staff was very polite and genuine and gave us genuine suggestions. Though they should provide toiletries. And tv wasn't working. And blankets can be better.
