WelcomHeritage Badi Kothi

Starting with the positives, the WelcomHeritage Badi Kothi is a heritage property which offers a unique experience making it worth every penny. We were welcomed with chandan tilak and a beaded necklace, along with lassi in a kulhad. The staff took care of every little detail and went above and beyond to make it a memorable trip. Very friendly and courteous staff. Room: we stayed in kivaad room on the first floor which was exactly how it's shown in the pictures. A decent room with all the relevant amenities. Food: our package included breakfast and lunch/dinner. Since there were very few guests, the buffet wasn't available but the staff curated a lavish spread on order (from a fixed menu. We enjoyed the indian preparation more than their chinese/continental meals. I recommend the guests to try the local cuisine or any indian cuisine. The preparation is pretty good, and the portions were decent. I did find the prices a little on the higher side. Location: the biggest flaw of this place is its location but even this experience might vary from person to person. Situated in a narrow alley of daraganj, it is close to sangam, allahabad fort, akshayavat tree, patalpuri temple, and nagvasuki temple. But being located in a narrow alley means difficulty in getting a cab even through ola/uber. We availed the facility of the WelcomHeritage Badi Kothi's cab and were extremely satisfied with raju ji's services and kindness (he carried extra water bottles for us. I'd equate the location of the WelcomHeritage Badi Kothi to chand chowk or aminabad i. E. A decent place to visit but perhaps not a great location to stay at. Having said that, i'd still recommend it to friends and family. The staff even gives you a tour of this 600 year old property which belonged to todar mal's son in law. Todar meal was one of the ratnas during akbar's reign. Definitely a worthy visit for all the history buffs out there. P. S. I wouldn't stay there alone. It's such a huge kothi that i'd be terrified of roaming/staying alone in it. Imagine staying a night alone at any of the assi protected monuments. Spooky! the place is meant to be enjoyed with friends/family.

Rooms - there were 3 types of rooms. I did kevad option but they upgraded my room to gokha room on arrival at the WelcomHeritage Badi Kothi. The room was well enough for a couple to stay and all the basic amenities. Food - this premises is a pure vegetarian WelcomHeritage Badi Kothi. The food was very good in taste. Services - the service was very good. They used to welcome their guests by lassi drink and it was very awesome in taste. The room service was also very quick. Hotel- WelcomHeritage Badi Kothi is 600 years old. It is 30 min from the prayagraj junction and 1 hour from the airport. From the airport it can take more as it depends upon the traffic. They have taxi options as well.

Except property location approach road, everything is excellent. Food, hygien, courteous staff, nicely maintained heritage property, those who are interested in culture, history will definitely enjoy the stay, the experience which i wanted to give to my overseas sister. Ambience of courtyard/food court where we celebrated our daughter's bday, decoration was awesome and she loved and was very happy. Overall it was nice experience, those interested to spent leisure time soaked in environment of culture and history i would highly recommend overall i will rate 4. 5 star, 0. 5 minus for approach road

Found this Hotel on MMT. The location of this property is a little bit in interior and the bylanes are narrow. But, the villa / kothi is really wonderful. They give you a tour of the Haveli making you feel that you are also a part of the Royal Lineage 😉. Overall a very good experience. Special mention of Miss. Romina and Mr. Tushar. Good Property, Comfortable Stay, Delicious Food. What else one needs !!

Nice food no doubt but lousy and untrained sraff. Place is beautiful. Rooms needs maintenance including room doors. Stick to food they say is good don’t experiment.

Heritage property maintained in original form with modern amenities added for comfort. Food good. But guests should be aware that the location is in a congested lane.

The property is maintained really well. Receptionist romina was very warm & the entire staff had great hospitality. Food was excellent & the chef really needs special recognition. This property is just 5 mins away from ganga sangam. The only issue we faced was the area in which it's located. Too narrow roads & traffic jams.

The place is beautiful and maintained with great thoughtful design elementsromina and rituraj went out of their way to help us with all our needs
