The property is located in a very nice place close to all tourist attaractions. The palace turned into a Welcomheritage Fernhills Royal Palace is a must visit. The rooms take you back the kings era, giving you the nostalgic feel. The rooms are well furnished with antique furniture, paintungs and carpets. The Welcomheritage Fernhills Royal Palace is owned by the wadayar group. The thing which i noticed that stands out is that they have not appointed professionally trained staff. But the staff all are very courteous and helpful. They have been retained for over 3 decades each which shows how good the employers are. Over all the property is a must visit to get the royal feel. Great job done by the staff.

Don't expect the place to be like in photos. If you like to stay in an actual palace where a lot of movies were shot(if you know the movie references) the stay will be more enjoyable. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. You can walk around and enjoy, they have a ground and viewpoint. Don't expect other amenities like in the resort. Food is not that great and it is expensive. I stayed with my parents and kids. Enjoyed the stay. They have luggage service unlike what some other reviews have mentioned, but the radiator was not working in the room. The value lies in heritage and the movie references. Not crowded and noisy.

It's an awesome property, excellent location, great ambience, huge rooms, staff is good. Shooting of many movies done here. The dining hall is huge with great ambience. It's a heritage property, summer palace of mysore king. All rooms are very big. Food was also good. Cycles are available for ride in the amazing lush green ground. Since it is 180 years old property, needs renovation, 24 hr hot water supply was an issue. Overall it's an excellent property for couples who want to relax in the lap of nature, away from crowd. The higher cost is justified as the property is beautiful. Best for those who can afford.

The stay ar the welcome heritage fernhills palace ooty was excellent. Right from the welcome to the rooms to the service everything was top notch. I would like to add that make my trip never disappoints. However i just have one concern regarding the car and the driver. The driver otherwise was extreme cooperative but did not understand tamil or english and was comfortable only with malayalam. Overall it was a very nice experience, apart from the car and the driver.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at in ooty, and i must say it was a good experience. I was greeted with warm hospitality and a friendly smile from the staff. Rooms: the rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. Service: the service was very good. The complimentary breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from.

Amazing property and what a marvelous location it is. Though property is not maintained but that's problem of owners. Staff does it's best to satisfy guests. Five stars to their staff which is very less in number but has great sense of hospitality. 1 star to owners who don't spend maintaining such a great place!

It’s a wonderful heritage property with a vintage feel which only old palaces can give. Rooms are tastefully done and service just right understated and efficient. Highly recommended.

An excellent palace with pure heritage culture. The place is surrounded by acres of land. With beautiful gardens and architecture of colonial style. I’m pretty impressed and quite breakfast with south indian and english cuisine.

Location was amazing food was average staff’s attitude was good.

So so, no internet wifi, not worth the rates. Welcome heritage is only for name sake. Property is good but no professional running the Welcomheritage Fernhills Royal Palace

Hotel is so asthmatic. Rooms are so big and comfortable. All necessary things are available. Staff are so humble and nice. Food is ok.

Will take back wonderful memories with me. Perfect stay with an heritage ambiance can’t be better than this. Service was exceptional.
