WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace

Welcomehiritage Madir Palace is a heritage property, one of the sections of the palace is converted into WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace, while other sections house a museum and residential palace for royal family. The architecture and interior décor of the palace is attractive which provides an impressive / majestic feeling. Inhouse guests can visit the museum free, while entry fee is applicable for outsiders. The entire property is nicely maintained. We stayed in a Deluxe Room in early Oct’23, we were allotted a room facing garden, the room was reasonably spacious, well maintained and fitted with a double bed, small TV, AC, chairs etc., however, wished they provided a wardrobe in the room. The washroom was spacious and neatly maintained too and provided with basic toiletries. The location of the property is perfect, it is situated in the midst of market and at close proximity and walkable distance to several tourist attractions, restaurants etc. We had breakfast and dinner at their inhouse restaurant. When we visited in the early Oct’23, there was limited guests in the WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace, hence dinner was served on ala-carte basis at rooftop restaurant with live local music. There were options to choose for dinner, while breakfast had normal spreads. The foods were customized and tasty. The rooftop provides a nice view of the fort. The staffs were courteous and responsive. Overall, a comfortable stay at a heritage palace in the middle of the city.

Our family of 6 stayed at mandir palace and all of us loved our stay. I was honestly skeptical after seeing mixed reviews on google but i was pleasantly surprised by how good the WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace was. This is a heritage WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace so do not go expecting the rooms to look like modern WelcomHeritage Mandir Palaces, that said, the rooms were beautiful, clean and had all the facilities you would expect from any modern WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace. I'd recommend anyone to actually prefer this over other WelcomHeritage Mandir Palaces as it is a completely different experience in staying a royal palace, although i'd advise you to have proper expectations as this palace is not as grand as, say taj WelcomHeritage Mandir Palaces for example, which is to be expected given the cost. They also have a wonderful rooftop restaurant and in our experience it was much better (in terms of taste and cleanliness) than other highly reviewed and similarly priced restaurants (read kaku's cafe. Their morning breakfast has very limited options and the taste was okay. The WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace is located very close to other tourist attractions of the city, such as the jaisalmer fort and pat-won ki haveli. The staff of the WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace is very courteous and prompt in addressing our requests. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and i'd highly recommend this WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace to anyone traveling to jaisalmer.

Summary: Great location, building and cleanliness; good breakfast; all other things just mediocre. All major tourist attractions within walking distance. Large courtyard to isolate town center noise and pollution. Well maintained “heritage” building with beautifully carved arches, balconies and parapets. The rooms- large, airy and clean. The room facilities are basic. A noisy window AC, beds that make strange sound every time you turn, old TV with well-worn remote and noisy cable connection. The tea-coffee makers that do not work. Solar water heating system needs expert intervention! Drinking water delivered in a refilled mineral water bottle after a couple of reminders. The service: good intention but limited capabilities. They forgot to keep tea bags in the room and when we complained, the poor chap was very apologetic and dumped the whole bunch with hopelessly entangled lead threads! Breakfast- simple but wholesome. Do not fall for the sunset trip to Sam sand dunes. The camel ride was OK but “traditional entertainment” was mediocre and dinner was just lousy. Made to pay almost double the amount that is charged if you make arrangement directly.

Updated for covid - stayed in deluxe room for 3 days. Spa, pool and rooftop restaurant are not operational due to government regulations. Pros - 1. Heritage property, 200 years old. Beautifully carved facade. Apparently, jaisalmer's king still lives there. 2. Centrally located. Everything is at a walking distance. 3. Museums and a temple inside the WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace. These are open to outsiders also for a minimal ticket price. 4. Value for money - WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace is priced exactly for what they're offering 5. Ample hot water in the bathrooms cons - 1. Food was not good. Best to have meals outside. They're are plenty of options just outside the WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace. 2. Slow room service

This was one of the best stay experiences in rajasthan. Usually other heritage rooms are small. However these rooms are spacious. You get experience of royal stay. The dinner buffet in courtyard alongside traditional music performers in the warmth created by wood burning is like a dream come true experience. When entire jaisalmer was selling extremely overpriced rooms, this property did not resort to such practices. I much appreciate the management for this. Property is well maintained and clean. Inner detailing from bathroom, tiling and choice of lights is nice as well. The roof top has visibility of the fort but due to encroachmemts and construction around, the view is not that great. Breakfast buffet and inclusion of more authentic jaisalmer cuisine can be improved to make the experience perfect.

The WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace staff is very gentle and helpful. Apart from the pleasant feeling of staying in an old palace, the quality of food was average. Actually the number of passengers staying here is very limited. Only 2 more families stayed there with me. Total eaters were 8. Perhaps because of this, the staff there had limited the variety of food. If you are fond of food and breakfast then this place will not be right for you. But if you are looking for moments of relaxation in a peaceful environment, then definitely stay here. The view of the old fort from the rooftop restaurant here is very beautiful. At the same time, it is fun to see antique things. Overall this stay and the environment there is like giving good above average.

Living inside palaces and living in palatial WelcomHeritage Mandir Palaces is a whole lot different. Welcome heritage is a nice and luxurious WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace inside one of the Jaisalmer palaces we stayed on the night of 7th dc 2021 and occupied one of the 4 suits staff was very courteous. The buffet dinner service on the terrace with bonfires was sumptuous and tasty. Breakfast was a bit frugal but sufficient. The room was palatial bathrooms modern and Lenin clean. People with a fondness for selfies will get great opportunities for magnificent pictures. The fort is within walking distance. The museum entry was free to staying guests and showcased the life and times of than royalty in detail. Recommend strongly for a stay.

Architecture was excellent- it was a palace where the royalty still lives in one portion, and they sure make money by allowing public to view their museum collection of old things the rooms were clean, comfortable food at the roof top restaurant dinner only and the breakfast room was very good. Service was also very good. The manager of the place was the only unfriendly person in the WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace. He is apparently appointed by the royal family. I was planning to take my management team for an off-site there, but he didn't seem very enthusiastic told me I could book through their website. Have dropped the idea. Overall, a great place to stay for a vacation.

A fantastic WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace. We had a massive room with its own lounge area. Very clean and comfortable. Very nice breakfast and food. Friendly staff and beautiful building.

We hv booked the surya mahal suite, best of this property. Room was big with a separate sitting area. Toilet was big and speckles. Restaurant served good food. Service was excellent. Thanks for this amazing holiday.

We had good and pleasant stay. The best part was the location. Right in the center of the city and no noise in the rooms. Great stay.

Good location, nice ambience, the maharaja of jaisalmer still stays here, well maintained actual heritage property unlike others that only have a heritage-look facade, rooms sizes are big, the sit outs outside few rooms is good to enjoy your morning tea, hygiene and cleanliness well taken care of

Went there after being completely disappointed with another property. The people first - they are very nice sweet and helpful. Second the food - personalized to what you need - we got them to make meals specific to jaisalmer and each day we got something new and good. Clean and tidy rooms - simple rooms with effective ac but very clean and tidy.

Best place to stay with rich heritage and touch of history. Lesiure time to spend with rabbits and horse is bonus.

We were exploring various heritage stays in rajastan and this is without doubt a very interesting and comfortable stay. We were a group of 6 people and the hosts did everything they can to make us feel comfortable. Views from the room facing a 200 year old temple and tower is just too good. Will definitely be back when at jaisalmer.

The WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace is a part of the current residence of the maharaja of jaisalmer and has a beautiful property. The rooftop restaurant with fort view is the cherry on the cake. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Good food as well. All in all the place had a homely vibe to it. Would love to go back again.

Stay was good the manager and people working there were good and humble. Only thing they should improve their breakfast variety.
