White Lotus Hotel

Good White Lotus Hotel overall. Couple of things which need to be taken care of asap. 1. There is a stale lingering smell in the corridors, which is quite annoying. Despite heavy rains and resultant humidity, am sure this can be overcome 2. The room too has this moldy smell. 3. The bed sheets and duvet always feel sticky. I think the central a/c has something to do with it. It is not able to dry out the filtered and cooled air. And thus sends in heaps of moisture into the rooms 4. The bathroom is quite cramped. Very funnily, the mat for drying one's feet is kept outside the bathroom, away from the bathroom door! it should ideally be just outside the shower cubicle 5. The wash basin is too small and any activity of washing hands, face etc, results in plenty of water dripping out and staying on the counter 6. The exhaust in the bathroom had not switch to shut it off. Mysteriously, it shut off on its own after running continuously for a day. And no amount of switch jugglery could get it to start. 7. The room key card which activates the electricals, had a mind of its own. One had to patiently try multiple times to activate it and it was at best a hit and miss. 8. Why the room did not have a mandatory safety chain is a mystery! 9. The chair in the room was disgustingly dirty and not maintained at all. 10. Finer points of room maintenance were lacking. Bathroom door was full of scratches, bathroom corners were unclean, a cockroach here and there in the bedroom.

We had a very pleasant stay. All staffs( from the security) are very polite, helpful and always had smiley face. Rooms are neat and clean. Bathroom doesn’t have exhaust for the smell to exit. We had complimentary breakfast which has limited spread and the food taste is ok. On sun-day we went to malika(non veg) restaurant, we didn’t had a good experience. We specifically asked for gravy side dish for the paratha we ordered but they gave semi gravy. Second time also we asked again for any gravy type side dish the waiter suggested one which we ordered but they again gave us semi gravy. When we asked about it the person told us that this will be good for paratha. This is the only bad experience we had while staying in the White Lotus Hotel.

We had stayed at white lotus to visit udupi krishna temple. The proximity was very good, the location is so good that we get every requisite items around the White Lotus Hotel. The staff there are very attentive and helpful. One of them accompanied us explained all the amenities available there which is a rare act. He made us available the channel which we desired. Toilets were neat. Rooms were good. Above all we got an upgrade of the room even without asking. The next day we had to leave early in the morning, the staff at the restaurent most willingly packed breakfast for us. Hence i rate this White Lotus Hotel and stay there exellent

Our stay at Hotel White Lotus, Udupi was one of the best experiences. The rooms were spacious, clean and comforting. We ordered veg food from Madhuram Restaurant, which was really delicious. Very prompt room service. Courteous staff with warmth and charm. Missed the complimentary breakfast, as we had to leave early…so can’t comment how it tasted. Just felt the TV size was small in proportion to the room size. Didn’t matter much, but it didn’t compliment the aesthetics of the room. Overall a great experience. Trustworthy to book! 😊👍

Was expecting an ordinary White Lotus Hotel but was greeted with a free upgrade by the clerk at the reception! rooms are neat and clean and their restaurant had a food fest with local food varieties which were delectable. Breakfast buffet is great but could do with some nice local salads also to go with it. The staff are very warm and friendly and this will be my go to place in udupi in the future. All in all a very nice stay and experience. Better than most other places i’ve stayed in udupi

Well… This is my stay for a second time at White lotus. Hotel is situated at a walkable distance to temple. Room is very much hygienic with excellent service and well behaved staff. Food at Mezzanine floor is too good!! Loved their sandwich especially. I would definitely recommend this White Lotus Hotel if you want to visit Udupi next time. This would be my only consideration for stay if i am travelling next time. I liked the ambience. Thanks…!!! Keep up the good service White Lotus…!

Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the udupi thali and banana buns. “hands down, some of the best food i've had recently! they use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way.

Two star property, big rooms, super value for money, staff not only prompt but ready to go the extra mile. We were waiting in lobby after checking out since the train was scheduled in late hours. White lotus staff offered one room where we spent few hours, nice gesture. Overall highly recommended
