Wildroots Bhandardara

Honest review of our Staycation at the wild roots- Stay/Room- 4/5 Rooms were clean and hygiene, no repellants no mosquitoes no cigarette smell. It was a pleasant stay. Sad part was wifi wasn’t working at all and even the phone installed in the room was dead. Ours was the last room and we had to walk all the way to reception in case of any help needed. Staff - 4/5 Staff is extremely polite and helpful. But they need to be a more pro-active in the work.The staff was more confused during the dinner time maybe due to the workload. The plates stayed in veranda for most people from night till the next day morning. Timely cleaning by staff needs to happen to maintain the hygiene. Food -2/5 Extremely disappointed with the food in terms of taste and the cost. The taste is not authentic. The flavour was more of Wildroots Bhandardaraish, typical taste, I mean something that we get when we go to any North Indian restaurant. They have mentioned in the menu of the authentic local dishes but sadly they are overpriced and do not even taste like a local food. Just a suggestion this needs to be improved provide more local dishes with local taste and only the local people can cook that well. Also we did not get what we ordered for when it was mentioned in the menu and was locally grown. Even the rice used should be the one that is locally grown and not basmati. We ordered thaali and did not get the nachni papads well that is not the issue but attention to details is important. Ambiance- 3/5 Overall it was very peaceful & nice. Again a suggestion here-there were couple of guests in 2-3 different rooms who had got speakers and were playing loud music in their own verandas and that is when the did not feel peaceful. I think the charm of the place and the guests who come to relax is just lost. People come to relax in peaceful environment from chaotic city life not to listen to loud music from 3 different speakers. I think they should clearly restrict such things. Overall our experience was great. We definitely look forward to come back and recommend this place to others and I hope my suggestions are helpful in improving the experiences of other guests in future. Thank you 😊

We were looking for a stay which is amidst forest/with lot of flora and fauna. We came across Wildroots and we made a booking for two nights. Location - is offbeat, about 2km away from main road - and it’s a bumpy ride. It took us about 5 hrs to reach there from South Mumbai. The stay is beside the river, the water was sparse as it was summer. However the place looked beautiful with lot of trees., we’ll maintained green landscape. They have cottages in a row right beside the river. Rooms - are spacious and has all amenities. Bed linens, towels were clean and well kept. They do have small fridge. It’s a good place for one day, more than one day it gets boring. Staff - 5/5 were friendly and receptive. Food - 2/5 I think food is the only part that requires lot of improvement. The menu is boring with no continental cuisine. They have Indian and Chinese menu with limited options. The food was very very spicy and greasy. Paneer was so rubbery. Husband and I had stomach upset from all the food that we ate on day 1 and ended up eating bland rice the next day. And lastly it’s very expensive and doesn’t justify the pricing. I wouldn’t mind paying more if they made good food. Me being a hardcore coffee lover to see small bowls with handle kept as coffee mugs was a big turn off. They were really wide mouthed and coffee would get cold instantly while you are making coffee. Cons: Frequent power cuts, there was power cut for almost 02 hrs in the afternoon when it was scorching hot. Wi-Fi really doesn’t work inside the room. Intercoms don’t work.

The place is very clean and cozy. It justifies it's name. The staff are also very generous. I will recommend to come here after monsoon but overall the place is very neat and clean. The prices are affordable and short stay is amazing. Room service is not too good. Thus we gave 4

Excellent location of wildroots. Very quite and calm. The service is very good and all employees are very cordial. The chef is a very competent person and the food served was also very good. If you like quite serene places- visit wildroots for sure.

One of the most amazing places in bhandardara. The staff and the chef are all super accommodating and warm. The food is brilliant and it's definitely a place you must visit.
