Winnies Holiday Resort & Spa

The one thing that we really liked was the staff here. They're polite and very helpful so a huge plus. The massive property is spread over a huge area over multiple levels which means that you have to walk and climb stairs a lot. Structurally they've built rooms and buildings everywhere with no thought given to accessibility so if you're obese like me or have a physical disability, then rule it out of your itinerary. We took the premium room with a jacuzzi which meant that the golf cart would drive us to an assembly point from where we would need to climb about a couple of sets of stairs left, right and center to reach the room. Once there the views were incredible for sure as it overlooked the valley with clear unobstructed views and sunlight to literally bathe in. Our jacuzzi didn't work at first but help was a call away and it took about 15-20 mins to fix it. The food was decent but the menu was full of silly typos like 'meggi' instead of 'maggi' and so on. Service as i've mentioned was quick and no complaints there. The property offers several activities if one's interested. Overall, it is a good property, if you're fighting fit and ready to traverse the mountain to access facilities.

Good location in a less crowded spot about 6km from kasauli city centre. Rooms are well-planned blending into the hillside, keeping one as close to nature as possible. Good hill-climbing and scenic spots within 5 minutes walking distance. Many open spaces with common seating within the resort, including a grassy play area. Game room with pool and table tennis. Food menu covers all tastes - indian, chinese, continental - and cooking is competent. Room service is prompt. Housekeeping is good. All staff are masked at all times. Staff is invariably polite and pleasant. There is room for improvement during rush days like long weekends and holidays. Our first night was chaotic - room service reached 2 hours late; housekeeping was sub-par with no towels, slippers, etc. Cleaning could have been better. They need to ramp up staff or reduce booking as this can be overlooked only once. Another thing is that the location of rooms needs to be made clear at the time of booking. We had to climb at least 5 storeys to reach our room - which was ok with us but will not be for everyone.

Stayed at this resort with my family for 2 nights, and it turned out to be great time for all of us. View from our room was really mesmerizing. Food was delicious and well served. Special mention to the staff who were always supportive and courteous. This property is 5 kms before kasauli but that only adds to its advantage in terms of the accessibility and spacious landscape. If you are going with elders, please ensure the check the availability of the rooms which are accessible directly as there are lot of stairs and may require steep walking. During your stay, you can try - 1. Trekking (ask reception for details) rs 600 per group - 1 to 1. 5 hours - highly recommended 2. Hangout cafe (10 mins drive) 3. Mall road / local market (20 mins drive) 4. Monkey point

We had a fantastic time at the resort. The room and the view was great. After reading some of the reviews, we were concerned about the service, but were pleasantly surprised. The housekeeping staff was really prompt and courteous. Despite there being only 1 golf cart, we didn't have to wait. It's a fabulous property- very well maintained with many sit out areas to generally chill with friends and family. We took a morning trek organised by the Winnies Holiday Resort & Spa which is not to be missed if you enjoy walking. Food was quite good too, especially if they made it fresh for breakfast. The only drawback is that you need to walk around the resort to go from one room to another. So be careful if you are with the elderly. Would love to come back again!

Room was spacious and was properly maintained( premium room). View from the balcony was fantastic and chirping of birds added to experience. Food quality is superb. Staff is courteous and polite. One downside was that on the room do not have sound isolation we had a family on top floor and the kids there were jumping and making noises which did not stop even after raising the concern. So we could not have peaceful time later. Some people just do not teach their kids to be courteous to other so make sure that you get a suitable room if you need some quiet moment. Apart from this would highly recommend this Winnies Holiday Resort & Spa!

Winnies is a good resort i would rate 3 out of 5, little overpriced, room was okay not very clean, room was given on top, we had to take stairs or slopes every time, food was good and staffs is decent. 1 thing which we did not like, they have accepted a booking for some wedding function during our stay, it was looking like we staying at some wedding venue. Staff totally diverted to the wedding guests, we did not get proper attention or service. Overall it’s an expensive property comparatively. Mountain or valley view was really good.

Property is located little away from the city and that is the best part of it. They have a good indian chef, though chinese was a sad option to try for. Disappointed to see that lot of their ground staffs were not wearing mask and we have to remind them to wear it. The room cleaning was only about managing the room, they folded the same towels and kept back. The bedsheets were not cleaned during the cleaning so hygiene and safety was a big issue.

We booked this Winnies Holiday Resort & Spa by mistake and were pleasantly surprised by the spacious rooms and the views from the sit out area. We had 3 rooms and all of them had great views. The property is huge and they have golf carts to ferry you to the rooms. There are lots of areas where one can sit and enjoy the valley view. The service is prompt and excellent. The breakfast was a good spread and everything was fresh.

Location is excellent. Staff was kind enough to give us an upgrade. Staff is very friendly. However, I had ordered fish at night but it was not fresh. Though food did taste good.
