Woodsmoke Retreat

I recently stayed at the woodsmoke resort with my husband, it is located beautifully on a hilltop nestled amidst the greens. This place brims with serenity and the foremost reason for it is it's unique location that is so quiet and away from the hustle bustle of the main city and completely devoid of the hubbub. The facilities provided at the Woodsmoke Retreat are totally up to the mark I. E running hot water, cycling, games, warm and hospitable staff and not to forget the wi-fi. The room I stayed in had a balcony and the view from it was picturesque, lush green hills and the especially the mesmerising sunrise and sunset. Can't wait to visit woodsmoke again and last but not the least the sumptuous buffet breakfast that was absolutely lip smacking. Woodsmoke resort for me would always be my favourite place to stay while in Shimla because it gave me some of the most beautiful memories to cherish for life. I really appreciate the management for such a pleasant experience. Thank you

It was, by far the best experience I have so far. I’m a regular traveler guy and went there with my wife. It is located outside Shoghi, around 3 kilometers and from all the hustle bustle of Shimla. The best things that I have experienced are their staff, the atmosphere, cleanness of the rooms and around resort, CCTV cameras all around and security, professionalism of the staff and all the managers, amenities like yoga classes, indoor games, gym and spa. Food, I can’t rate it honestly as it depends person to person. My wife absolutely loved the food. The resort deserve 5 star and deserve more attention and you’ll experience the best time there. A big thanks cooking staff and to the managing team. Also I would like to thank the staff person who provided us valuable yoga classes. I wish I could have chosen this resort on my honeymoon. I have been to many Woodsmoke Retreats in USA/India and other countries. This place has by far the customer service I have ever seen and most courteous staff that I have ever come across. If I am ever going to Shimla area again. This is the place I will book again. There was nothing that was not right with the place. I missed the breakfast time twice and the staff was very courteous to remind me and wait for me to come and have breakfast. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that you have to get down at Shoghi (if travelling by bus( and then take a cab to the Woodsmoke Retreat (it is not walkable, esp if the weather doesn't permit to do so). But once you reach, everything is taken care of. You can even call the Woodsmoke Retreat to arrange a car for you for pick up from Shoghi bus stop (I did that, and it worked well). Overall, great place.

Wow! That's the only word. Loved the location, the view from my room, the approach to the Woodsmoke Retreat. The staff was great, the food was equally good. The only low light was it took at least 5 minutes for the warm water to run (maybe because of the solar system; some air concern they mentioned). The only place you can go to eat, is the Woodsmoke Retreat or the mall road, about an hour away from the Woodsmoke Retreat. The room shared the walls with their little store rooms. At times, it does not feel to secured or private. Had enough private parking space. I hated that I didn't book this Woodsmoke Retreat for all my vacation days. Yeah, so, no, don't think too much, it is totally worth the stay, book this place.

I went there with my family, stayed there for 2 nights. The resort is amazing with outstanding courteous staff, food was also very good but 30 to 40 percent higher from others. Friday night I was standing outside our room with my wife looking at sky (as she is passionate about stars and astronomy) as it was beautiful and one can see the entire milkyway with naked eyes, around 10 pm one of the staff who was passing from there namely Pritam asked me sir, How can I help you, laughingly I said please arrange for chair so that we can sit, to my surprise within 2-3 minutes he arranged sofa for both of us so that we can spend our quality time together, we felt very happy. Overall our experience was outstanding.

It was an excellent stay for us. The location is fantastic. You have the view of the mountains from anywhere in the Woodsmoke Retreat. Choose your rooms wisely, every room has views but few has balcony (which is better for view). Very nice, courteous staff. Resort is completely vertical, doesn't offer any lawn so difficult for elderly people. Also I found it bit unsafe for kids below 5 as all the stairs are not covered with proper railings. They've an amazing yoga instructor and first class is also complimentary. Yoga was an amazing experience in mountains. Do not expect a lavish buffet breakfast. Breakfast is just about Ok. For dinner they have good menu And buffet options.

Bathroom can be improved to little more comfortable style, we found shower and WC in separate room, this could have in a single room with more spacious. Location and over all property is amazing, we had two night stay!! They serve delicious food and rich buffet breakfast. This property is in ideal location those who have own vehicle, can be relaxed without any disturbance of crowded vehicles, just 13 km away from Shimla town which is 20 drive. They maintain the class and lovely ambiance, its really a luxury property, really value for the money. I would suggest this property for all families.

The Resort is situated on a hill, it's about 13 kms (40 mins) drive from Shimla. Here you'll find solitude And peace. The Resort has a library, activity area, Spa, restaurant and cafe with a great view! Rooms have a spectacular view from the balcony, be sure to choose the room wisely. The atmosphere of the Resort is quite peaceful, the property is covered with flowers And plantations. Bathrooms are clean And well equipped. Room size was fine. However, room service is a bit slow. Being a 4 star Resort, expect good And costly food. Overall, you must consider staying here.

Amazing property, superb view, and delicious food. A must for people who seek serenity and natural beauty. Staff are courteous and food was in particular was great, with proper hygiene and presentation.

It's an nice place to relax and spend a leisurely weekend. The rooms are clean an dB provide an excellent view of the valley. The staff is very polite and helpful. Plenty of options to keep the little ones occupied as well.

We stayed in Wood smoke resort in mid September. We were assigned two twin rooms with a common front porch. The view from the porch was beautiful. Hotel amenities are okay, and there is enough space to stroll around. From the reading room the view is amazing. It's pleasant to have coffee and drinks while sitting and enjoying the view. Complimentary Yoga classes were also given for the guests.
The view from the room and the reading room is great. The location is little remote but after driving for 10 minutes you do get a few options.

Lovely staff. Very cooperative. Everything is well managed ... Location is awesome and views you get there are just magical. Fun is ultimate can't be expressed .. Very peaceful and lovely resort

Wonderfully stay. The staff were very Kind and friendly. They even provided food for my kid who is a year old without any charges. Room 202 has an awesome view. Good spa facility. The food was a bit expensive but tasty.

Excellent location, superb service, the staff was very courteous and polite. The room was very cozy and had an excellent balcony with a view. Had ample parking space, the breakfast was very tasty and served in our lovely balcony. Would love to go there again.

Excellent resort for families who wish to enjoy a place away from hustle & bustle. You need to have your own transport as it is 1. 5 Km. Away from main road. Surroundings are beautiful. Food is very good. It has indoor sports and geared cycles for tracking. A little costly place.

Hi, make my trip, I have booked deluxe suite room from your portal however Woodsmoke Retreat give me standard premium room ( room no-309) instead of deluxe suite, this is really a cheating with the customer. I have checked deluxe suite the room is totally different. Now I can never booked room from your portal. Totally cheated
