Woodsvilla Residency

What a great holiday! Our stay at Woodsvilla Resort, Ranikhet was very comfortable and nice. The rooms were spacious and with clean toilets and bathrooms which have been recently renovated. The bed was neat and comfortable. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and never uttered a no for an answer. The effervescent smiles on their faces all through suggested that they care for the guests. They actually did. The biscuit platter served in the room every evening with the evening service was tastefully done. The icing on the cake was the attitude of the serving staff in the restaurant which is reasonably priced. The serving staff and the chefs make you feel at home. In fact, more than at home. Above all, the recently launched tea lounge was a great hit with the travelers. Enjoying hot tea round the clock without any cost is the first that we have seen anywhere else. It was a great addition to the otherwise remarkable holiday in the tranquil mountains of Kumaon.

At Woodsvilla Residency we were booked one room and we got one hall with dining area and galary with ice capped mountain view, one big bedroom again with galary with ice capped mountain view and a kitchen. Very interesting view of valley. Good food. Specially the complementary breakfast with so many options & unlimited quantity. My family and myself enjoyed the stay at this Woodsvilla Residency. Only negative thing is it is 9 km from Ranikhet and you have to go to Woodsvilla Resort for lunch & dinner which is walkable distance. Since we were having our own vehicle we had no problem. We got 45% discount through Makemytrip.com which was not available when we tried to book this Woodsvilla Residency directly over phone / through email. Go for it you will enjoy it for sure. This Woodsvilla Residency is not in the main Ranikhet town. It's about 9 km from the main Sadar Bazar market. We were to stay at Woodsvilla Residency but due to low occupancy it was closed and we ended up at the Woodsvilla resort. The property is beautiful. Small but well maintained. The service was great. Food was the best we had in Ranikhet. They even had a games room, which was quite popular with families. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We visited during the monsoon, the scenery was gorgeous but there were landslides on the way back. So be careful.

There are 2 property of woodsvilla. Residency and resort. Both are adjoining property. We had booked in residency but they offered us room in resort, which is much better place. Per Woodsvilla Residency staff every customer who book in residency, they upgrade them in resort. Woodsvilla resort is an awesome place to stay. Its strategic location 10 km up from Ranikhet makes it a heaven on Ranikhet. We played there pool for number of hours which was absolutely complimentary as compare to other resort which charge for it. Overall an awesome experience and true value for money proposition.

Stayed for a night ( wish had booked 2) on 21st June 2016 with my wife and our 1 yr old daughter and had a wonderful experience staying at Woodsvilla Residency. The staff is very helpful, jolly, ready to have a friendly chit chat (which usually is hard to find these days) and the service was quick. The rooms are very big and have a breathtaking views, also the views from restaurant/roof is must experiencing for your visit to Ranikhet. Would recommend this place if you are visiting Ranikhet and want to experience a serene and relaxing holidays.

Ranikhet is simply a paradise for nature lovers. The greenery is very different from all other hills and the quietest Mall road of hills. We love Ranikhet and this property. We have visited Ranikhet couple of times and ensures we stay in this property only and specially the same too. The Resort is modern and offers the best food in Uttarakhand. The rooms are spacious and offer an excellent view of the Himalayas. We visited last week, it was quite cold and recommend carrying heavy woolens who visit during this period of the year.

Great location with great view of Himalayas with naked eyes. Value for money. Great food at Cloud 9 restaurant attached to Woodsvilla. Superb staff - following your all commands at just one phone call. Peacefully located in village Majkhali about 8 km from Ranikhet. But electricity cuts for few minutes, back upped by generator may be due to village. Entry slope is very steep, needs to warm up the car engine and good driving skills in hills. Parking space is less.

Woodsvilla residecy is an awesome property A view of himalaya's range from the balcony is mind blowing. However we were upgraded to woodsvilla resort Sweet rooms are awesome & very comfortable to visit with family & friends. Very soft spoken caring staff specially Mr. Ashok Over all it was worth to Stael a bit away from the town Ranikhet with all the facilities. I would suggest you to visit the resort once if you are here in Ranikhet.

Good time spent. Peaceful time and untouched land unlike others. Nature is awesome and I think it is the best time to go and visit Ranikhet. Weather was awesome and clean. Hotel was clean and room was spacious. Little bit expensive in terms of food. But one should visit Ranikhet once to have lifetime experience.

It was great Woodsvilla Residency awesome view from balcony. Service was too good. I stay for 2 days, room was too big and very clean. I enjoyed sun rise early morning. Very beautiful staff was too good and very sweet people's there very happy. Room was awesome and food quality was great. Please go and enjoy that.

I stay here from 21 May to 23 May with my family. The property in 3 star is very decent. I came for Uttarakhand here in Ranikhet this property is very decent and admirable. I am very satisfied this property with my family

Nice, clean and beautifully located Woodsvilla Residency. Food is very costly and since, the Woodsvilla Residency is remotely located, we do not have option. Food is prepared fresh and tastes good. Home preparation taste. Do not try Shahi Paneer Butter as it tastes too much sweet.

Very nice Woodsvilla Residency with nice manager and staff. Cooperative, quick service. Recommended for stay will definitely come again. Nice and clean rooms with all basic amenities. Support was extended for late night arrival.

View is excellent from window and the bed adjucent to window is superb.

Woodsvilla Residency is outstanding Woodsvilla Residency. Its having amazing food and location. If you want to visit Majkhali don't go anywhere just go to the woodsvilla residency with close eyes. You will find the paradise here. Staff is fabulous and service is so nice. I had travelled with family very safe and best. We can't forget this trip. Definitely visit again.

Everything was average. Room service guys were little laid back... They did not turn up despite 2-3 calls... But the old manager was sounding very helpful... Little more effort can make it great.

Although, Woodsvilla Residency is converted Woodsvilla Residency from Studio apartments but it looks good space wise. Even Location of Hotel is at attractive place in Ranikhet. We, family, stayed for two nights and found friendly staff, good food, nice location. We specially thanks Mr. Raman Sharma for providing and assisting us very politely by which we felt our confidence and satisfaction more than 100%.

The Hotel is situated at a perfect place with a view of the mountain range. The place is a little far away from the main city are, therefore it is ideal for people who are just looking for a relaxing trip with not too much of sightseeing in their itinerary. The rooms were spacious and nice however, the service was not up to the mark, as it would take ages for the staff to get us our order.
