Woodsvilla Resort

We stayed here for three nights. Cottages were duplex, and really cool! It provided excellent view of Hills and had great space near the window on both floors to view the Hills. Staff was very nice. They took special care in serving tawa roti at night, specially for us. I would highly recommend it. Kid's area with lot of balls was a treat for the children. Tt table also kept them occupied. Some improvements 1 it can be arranged and managed better. Eg: it has a beautiful library but books need to be arranged. Also, kid's room and gym equipment should be separated as some smaller kids can get hurt. Battery driven cars are spoilt and should be cleaned. 2 staff is very helpful. With some Woodsvilla Resort management training and a common dress, it will give a good professional look. 3 some part of accessory like switches etc. Needs to be replaced as they are partly damaged.

It took almost 10 hours to reach the place, it's quite far as expected, location of resort is very nice but got too tired while reaching the place as drove car from Delhi. Resort is pretty big with big rooms and duplex, we booked a deluxe room but shifted to duplex later on. (With a very nominal charges). View from balcony was awesome, very quite place, Wi-Fi was not available to rooms, internet connectivity from network was available, snooker table, table tennis, carom board games were for time pass. Room service was good, we were only guest at resort as we went to off season so did not enjoy buffet but we were allowed to make order in menu card. Manager and other staff was cooperative. Service was also good. Go to this resort for peace of mind and bring your things with you as nearby to resort there is no market for buying basic things even.

Although located about 10 km from Ranikhet, its a really nice place to spend some quality and relaxing time. Clean, hygienic rooms and amazing view from balcony. Has pool table and table tennis table for some indoor activities. However, they close it down at night. You will have to pay extra to use them at night. Also has a open terrace restaurant. To our surprise they had a bon-fire and some music being played. Food is not very good but ok. Ranikhet doesn't really have much options for food so better to eat in Woodsvilla Resort. Driving from resort, towards Ranikhet, there are a number of trails going to the hills for those interested in trekking. We took a trail that goes form behind a temple "Bubudham". It was a small but good break. We forgot to carry water bottles else we would have gone much further.

Its location is around 6-7 km from Ranikhet. However, that should not be an issue as the location of the resort is very picturesque. On arrival, we were immediately greeted with a welcome drink. Hotel staff is very gentle and helping. Food is nice; however, it can be further improved. Antakshari and tombola during night and Table Tennis, pool table, carrom, kids zone, etc are an added advantage. We also went for a small trek in the evening as the surrounding area offers a lot of such opportunities. Overall a very satisfying stay.
The room had sufficient space and sunlight. Instead of water bottles they provide a five lets water container which I found very useful. The view from the room balcony was very nice.

One of the best Woodsvilla Resorts I have stayed at and I have stayed at a lot of Woodsvilla Resorts. Traveled to Ranikhet for the weekend and enjoyed the stay to the fullest. The building and rooms give a very rustic and wonderful feeling. The restaurant was beautiful. The view from our room was also exquisite, you open your eyes in the morning and the first thing you see are the snow clad mountain tops of the Himalayas. When you go there, do not forget to have your breakfast out in the area outside the restaurant, specially breakfast and lunch.

We got the farthest room from eating area, for our buffet meals, we had to climb multiple stairs and walk 6-7 minutes every time. Food quality is mediocre, spread is average. They could not provide wifi as the modem was not working. TV set top box was not working, it took multiple calls to reception, 02 visits by technician and 2 hours to start this. We missed 30 overs of second half of cricket match. Overall, below average property. It is just the mad rush to the hills by people from plains that keeps such places running.

Hotel is nice. Rooms are big. But food is a issue. They are not expert in tasty food. Even dinner and breakfast options is less. Tea is horrible. It was not tea at all. Wifi is very poor. Even there was no wifi in my room. I told many times at reception but nothing worked. Staff is certainly very humble and polite. Boys are very quick in service. If you are a non veg then you will not like here. Carrom for kids is damaged. Tt table is not class. Tt bat are not good. Views from Woodsvilla Resort is awesome and relaxing

Very good rooms and views. Really like the small little capsule window with the view to the Himalayas, and the balcony. Food was nice, and service staff even better. Probably a little better sign-post at the main Road would help. From the main road, we couldn't easily spot the route to the resort, and landed up first going to the Woodsvilla residency below, then came back up, checked and spotted the steep Road down to the Woodsvilla Resort.

Rooms was very good. View from the room was fantastic. You can See the Trishul, Nanda devi peaks from room. Food taste was not good but due to the view from the room and Woodsvilla Resort, I can neglect the taste of the food. Bathroom is not specious. Cleanliness was good.

Resort is located a bit away from the main town, view from the resort and rooms is excellent. Buffet food has a decent spread, pool table, carrom, tt are available. Kids play area is very good. Overall value for money.
Size of the room was big and it was well maintained.

Woodsvilla is one of the best stays that we have had in recent times. It had the most beautiful view of the Himalayas from our room. The staff is most courteous, food is very good, and we really enjoyed our stay at Woodsvilla.

Very good location. Excellent food and service. Running hot and cold water. Fantastic valley view and snow view. Service with a smile. Cleanly maintained.

The rooms are a bit old although the surrounding area makes you forget everything. The buffet provided was finger licking. The kids play area can be maintained properly. The view from the room is mesmerizing.

The Woodsvilla Resort is located in a very good location. Bathroom is clean. Free food is excellent.

Visited with wife and 2 kids. Since it was off peak, there was just 1 more visitor. Food menu very restricted and average quality. Though service was good and staff being courteous and helpful. Booked family suite, was huge room with awesome view of Himalayas and valley. Hardly anything to do for kids, broken TT table, kids room had everything more or less broken, no rides. Location perfect for relaxing.
