WoodVista Cottages | Secluded Mountain Stay

We spent a wonderful time in their well designed and thoughtful cottages in the lap of nature. This is certainly a place away from the noises and hustles of a City. Surrounded by apple orchards, oak, pine and cedar wood trees, this place certainly gives you an ample amount of positive energy. The place is definitely safe for families. You go off road from check and are guided well by the manager so no need to worry. We loved the off road drive. The staff is humble and polite. Our feedback for the food on the first day was taken seriously and then we had no complaints about the food. The star of the property is Tazo, the dog who knows how guests are treated. Overall they do their best to give you all the luxury that you need in the middle of the jungle. Vikas Ji, their manager is the local encyclopedia who would keep you and your kids engrossed with his knowledge about the surrounding woods. He looked after us so well. Deepak, Dinesh and others also need a mention here in my note for their hospitality. Just one suggestion here, the owners have preserved the beauty of the nature by not harming it in anyway, no ugly sign ages on the mountains, planting trees everywhere possible so if the plastic water bottles served in the cottages can also replaced with glass bottles. It would add on a bit more to what they are doing for nature.

Although the photos and sceneries speak for themselves, i feel that i must add something in the form of due diligence to convince you to try this place out. We went with all the scepticism possible for a cynical tourist to have. And came back pleasantly defeated in our take on life. Reconnected with our fun loving pet who felt so bored in the city. Food, hygiene and safety standards are all top class. There is a caveat to experiencing this beautiful resort though. The location cannot be tracked by go-ogle as it is deep within nature. You will need to contact the super caretaker mr. Vikas who will guide you throughout the rest of the journey from kufri, almost with an uncanny knowledge of your surroundings over call

This is one of the best locations to enjoy your stay in mountains. As stated, property is located at off beat location and completely away from city’s hustle and bustle. All the staff at WoodVista Cottages | Secluded Mountain Stay is very very cooperative, special mention to mr. Vikas. He has solution for all your problems. Food is off great quality and in abundance. Just for sake of it, to mention property’s drawback is “fire pit for bon fire is located in the middle of property and some of the guests make lot of noise when sitting around. This can be inconvenient for others who want silent atmosphere. Otherwise, this is better than any 5 star property in and around shima, kufri.

We had recently booked the woods vista cottage, shimla for 2 nights 4 days. 5 stars to their customer service and property location, cleanliness. Away from shimla's hustle bustle, this location is in the middle of forest and has beautiful view of the valley. On the way to the WoodVista Cottages | Secluded Mountain Stay, there are beautiful apple trees and garden. Just needs little improvement in the food, we tried their himachali cuisine and did not quite like it. Siddu could have been little more soft and palatable. But never mind it was an overall amazing stay. Highly recommended.

Wood vista is a small resort near Kufri surrounded by apple orchids. Enjoyed the nature with lovely view. It so peaceful that you don't hear anything apart from birds. Room was good with all amenities. Food was expensive and need some improvement. Way to the resort is few km rocky and bumpy drive downhill from Fagu. Staff is courteous and helpful. Not many places to go nearby unless you plan to take the adventure drive uphill on a bumpy and rocky road, road is actually difficult to find in potholes. I will recommend this place if you want to go and relax in nature.

I loved staying here, the facility is surrounded with the beautiful landscape and apple orchards. In between big trees, a very calm and relaxing place, away from city noise, pollution free environment with beautiful blooming flowers all around. The rooms are cozy with wooden interiors which gives a smoothing vibe. The hosts are very friendly and offer warm hospitality. The food served was excellent, we also enjoyed the barbecue and bonfire also it was the best experience during our stay. It was just like we wanted to spend our holiday, thank you wood-vista team.

We travel-led as a family and had an overall good experience. Staff is helpful and accommodating. Cottages are clean and well maintained. To share some advice to those planning to visit: 1. Pols note the facility is in cheog- that is different than more popular theog. 2. There is a stretch of some 2~3 kms that requires transit on an off-road track. Make sure your vehicle is prepared for that grind. 3. You might want to request for less chilly in your food. It tastes good like that also. The facility would be better utilised of travel-led in a group.

One of the best hospitality and services I’ve experienced in a while. The resort is located amidst a forest and has scenic views and trails all around. Rooms are at par with any 4 star WoodVista Cottages | Secluded Mountain Stay and the food we had was really tasty. There is however a scope of improvement - if you’re booking a room in a cottage ( not the entire duplex) the sound insulation is not good enough - we can literally hear people next talking 😃 Also, they should add some games for kids or a play area for people travelling with kids ❤️

Had such an amazing stay away from all city noises in a peaceful serene location. 100 out of 100 for the staff. Super courteous, polite and super efficient. Special thanks to vikas who guided exact way to the resort and welcomed us with a warm smile. Gold y and arjun were super awesome to provide us food as per our liking. We were 9 of us including my parents and kids and all of us had a great time. Kudos to entire wood vista team.

Route to property is slightly treacherous, but once you reach, it is the best place you can be at.

The cottages are located 7-8km after kufri near cheog village. The area is noncommercial and very peaceful. The last 2km road leading up to the cottages is a kuccha road it might be a little tricky for self drivers. The food served at the cottage is really tasty. There are mini hikes that you can take around the area. All in all we liked the stay as we were looking for a quiet get away.

It was a comfortable stay and nice hospitality.

Location was very good but a little bit inside, we found difficulty so we made a call to the caretaker and his response was very attentive and he took us on the property. The food taste was delicious. The room was clean, secure and had a beautiful view of nature. For sure, i'll recommend this property.

I visited this place for the 1st and i totally loved it. It is situated in the middle of the mountains with beautiful cottages and roam around areas. You can truly enjoy walking in the woods. Also, there was a pond area on walking distance which was marvellous. It’s a must visit

Excellent stay with friendly staff. Its tricky to find the location as it is off gmaps and u have to drive down a steep single lane road (not really a road ) but its fun and adventurous. Must visit especially during peak winters for absolute winter magic
