The stay is highly non flexible for the convenience of guests. Even after reassuring that we take full responsibility, food was not allowed in the rooms. In spite of known power issues in the area, there is no power backup for rooms. Only the cafe has power backup. Expecting a super chill stay considering the name "young monk" was a mistake.

Terrible Stay

The food was tasteless, room was dirty and stinking. The tap water was muddy - one cannot use it for shower or brushing teeth or any purpose. The electricity was constantly fluctuating and had to leave the room door open in order for wifi to work. At a point when drinking water was over, they didn’t have water to fill the dispenser because the tap water was muddy so we had to buy water bottles.

I have stayed at young monk dharamkot before and this stay at jibhi met all the set expectations. Amazing food and the chef was very accommodating of our choices in terms of level of spice, sugar, salt etc. Which really enhanced our experience we booked a private room and i would describe the stay as comfortable. No major complaints. The view from the cafe is also amazing. You can spend hours sitting here. It is accessible and you will find small grocery type shops around but for other needs you will have to travel a bit but can be managed.
