YWCA International Guest House

My mother and I stayed here 3 days. Conveniently located close to Egmore Station with easy access to all we wanted. Safe, comfortable, like home environment helpful and friendly staff. Very basic amenities but room was newly painted and clean so suited us well. Buffet breakfast provides nice options bread, butter, jam, eggs if any 1 South Indian option (idli/Oothapam/Pongal) with Vadai, chutney, sambar fruit, tea, coffee. Few made-to-order options available too. Lunch and dinner buffet must be pre-ordered each day and provide sufficient variety. Generally, like a simple home-cooked food which we enjoyed. There are a number of restaurants a short ride away for people looking for other options. The service overall was excellent, staff is pleasant and accommodating. Safe for solo travelers. We enjoyed our stay and will return on our next trip.

Heads up, if you're looking for a super posh YWCA International Guest House this ain't one; but this is unique in its own way. Situated right infront of the egmore metro makes commuting to any part of the chennai city a breeze. There's free 24 hr checkin as well, so you need not wait until 12. 00 noon. Complimentary breakfast is just amazing. Lunch, cafe (in the evenings) and the dinner is just so good! above all, the campus itself is so cool surrounded by trees (yes-in the middle of the concrete jungle) i'd highly recommend this property for anyone -solo travellers, families, friends, etc. Happy staying!

Absolutely loved our stay at ywca. The room was very spacious and very cool despite being a non ac room. The bathroom was hygienic and clean and provided both hot and cold water. The best part about the stay was the fact that the guesthouse has an amazing garden, with lots of trees, plants, and flowers. It's probably why the place is very cool and calm. There is also a lake within the compound. So if you want to take a brisk evening stroll or morning walk, ywca has the perfect surrounding for it. Don't think twice about booking a room here! just go for it!

The YWCA Guest House is located at a prime location in Chennai near Egmore rail station. Though a soft touch of nature is found in the garden outside. The quality of food is good and not only South Indian dish but also continental food is available here. Buffet system can somehow be changed to plate system. I have stayed here along with my mother and aunt who are senior citizens. They also enjoyed the stay here. The trees and flowers and the paintings at drawing room are telling us that please, come again, we will be waiting for your company again.

The location is near Egmore metro and in the heart of Chennai! HDFC bank and ATM is next door and Al modes of transport are available round the clock! The breakfast is mostly South indian but hygienic and tasty. The YIH offers a quite, cool ambience and a large campus for a morning walk. The staff are quite friendly and help is just a call away. The room, toilets was neat and tidy! The towel and beds were clean. The ac was old but served its purpose. All in all an enjoyable stay! Recommended for Solo and families as well!

Staying at ywca international guest house is very good for a family or a group of tourists because it is in campus where greenery and water buddies are available with birds chirping. Atmosphere is cool and calm. Building is a little bit old but well maintained with cleanliness. It may be considered a budgetary YWCA International Guest House with all the basic facilities. Complementary breakfast quality is also very good. Staff are responsive and cooperative.

Good breakfast and location, ample car parking space are a plus. You can throw some more money and get a star YWCA International Guest House with better rooms, but you will Miss the friendly christian atmosphere. As a family we liked our stay, no cigarettes or drinks, no nasty parties, discos. Culturally a strong place for families and individuals, single women can stay safely here.

Very clean Cleanliness is very well maintained breakfast is just awesome. You can have breakfast as per your mood- modern or traditional south kind. The surrounding is very healthy with trees and park type of atmosphere. Felt really good. They also provide other amenities like TV, WiFi, lift, water bottle, etc. Overall very good experience.

Stay was good, I just want to give a suggestion for YWCA International Guest House people. In my allotted room, hand flush for toilet is on left hand side which is ergonomically difficult.

Staying as a family very nice. The location is great but it's very noisy due to located in the main road, food service is nice, rooms can be a little bit improved, very great location it is very nice to walk.

The location, gardens, spacious with trees made us feel out of city, peaceful and pleasant stay.
