Zostel Ooty

Overall, we had a pleasant experience and appreciated many aspects of our stay. However, we were a bit disappointed to find that the toilet and bathroom in our room were not separate as we had requested. We had specifically requested this feature when making our reservation, so it was a bit of a letdown to find that the room had a combined toilet and bathroom. That being said, the location of the zostel was great, and we enjoyed the easy access to many of the local attractions and activities. The facilities were generally well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. In terms of the room itself, it was clean and comfortable, although it was a bit small. We would have appreciated a bit more space to move around in the room. Additionally, the breakfast options were somewhat limited and could benefit from a wider variety of choices. The wi-fi signal in our room was also weak and sometimes unreliable, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, we had a decent experience at your Zostel Ooty, although we would have appreciated the separate toilet and bathroom that we had requested. I stayed there for 1 night as I was riding alone to Ooty. I must say the entire premises are very well maintained. Zain and his staff were all super friendly, with Zain also being a great local guide. Ask him about where to go or what to eat and he'll surely give you good advice. There is ample parking and you get a fairly nice view of the city from this Zostel. The bonfire is another plus point worth mentioning, it was really comforting in that shivering cold. The only drawback I felt was absolutely no drinking on the premises. Like no drinking in the dorm rooms is a good rule, but if you're at a hill station, you'd want to have a nice peaceful end to your day with a few drinks, but that's not allowed. Other than that, everything was amazing. Thank you.

The hospitality and food is amazing. 🤩 We were staying in dormitory. They were clean and nice. A bit small but manageable if you have one bag/luggage. washroom inside the room. But the common ones were clean and well maintained. Keeping Ooty weather in mind, request everyone to carry enough winter wears. Since there dining area/cafe is in open. The common area is also nice and sufficient for 12-15 people to sit and enjoy. The location of the property is nice. Whole city is visible from top. The Zostel is centrally located in Ooty- about 1 km from the the bus & railway station. About 2 kms from the main market. Also the overall experience at the property was good. The food was quite decent. They also have a terrace with ample of space in case you wish to do some Yoga practices like me. I had a good time and spent सोम quality time with my fellow roomies. I stayed in 6 bed female dormitory. One suggestion : it will be great if they can organise some day time activities like other Zostels in the country. I reached ooty from bangalore early morning at 8am and the zostel folks were kind enough to let me use the common areas and washroom before my checkin time. They allotted me a bed also by 10:30 which was 1. 5hr before official timings which was super helpful and sweet. Staff is very friendly and so are the fellow travellers, we had bonfire at night and the food at the restaurant is also decently good. The views and the ambience is also great. Overall a paradise for solo travellers

Location was good. Easy to reach food was good. Limited options & kitchen closes by 9 pm, but we reached post 9, so we had to order dinner bathroom hygiene was good. Bathroom size was bigger than room size, which didn't make much sense to me as we had to struggle with the luggage. No chairs in room it was safe for women. But street dogs entered into the property. 2 of them sat in front of our room the whole night, so we couldn't go outside our room

Overall experience at zostel ooty is good. Host is responsive & always accessible. Instant responses. Cleaning of rooms/washrooms on time everyday and it’s systematic. I liked the spirit of the staff there. Everyone are young & energetic, at the same time very polite and quick in delivering food without delay. They respect the guests and humble. More than property i liked the staff & their attitude. Owner also seemed to be very cool

So, i stayed in zostel ooty for 2 days on my solo trip to ooty. And the hostel is just placed at such a beautiful location, the sunset from here is something you'll always crave for, once experienced. There are few rooms for improvement but the vibe, the location, the bonfire, the people just make up for it. It's very near to the bus stop as well which is great.

Nice stay. Dorm rooms. Budget friendly stays. On a hilltop so you can see good area of ooty. And enjoy the peaceful stay. Best for solo travellers.

I was there for one night. The host of the property both Zain and Ajit are always smiling and welcoming. I would highly recommend it. Awesome place to connect with fellow travelers. Lovely view from the property and it was a memorable day at Zostel Ooty

The zostel experience alone is very best. Let alone the staff and manager is very helpful and the property location and views are worth the experience.

Very friendly staff and tasty food. Bonfire night was amazing to meet many people. Washrooms can have more amenities to hang the towel and clothes.
