Zostel Shangarh

We visited shangarh towards the end of january, 2022 when snowfall had just subsided and it was the perfect time to explore the snow-covered secluded terrain. I would say shangarh is still a hidden gem and hasn't been adulterated by throngs of tourists yet. Zostel, shangarh sits just one step below the highest altitude which makes the vast meadows below and and the peak above accessible by foot. Keep in mind if you are visiting right after snowfall then carry proper footwear as the slant roads get slippery and wet. The inhouse cafe of zostel was a pleasant surprise, as it was serving a huge variety of food items prepared fresh from the time you order it, and most importantly all the items were quite flavorful. Special shoutout to the cook there, mr. Kapil bisht. I don't know about the other rooms, but in our dorm we weren't provided with bathroom slippers and soaps, which i think are quite basic amenities and their absence in turn can cause a huge inconvenience. We had to explicitly go and ask for soaps.

Awesome place and food. Host annoy is very warm and welcoming. Food was delicious and inexpensive. Stay was clean facilities were apt as well. May be bit of working can be done on the common play area more games and all. Otherwise view from common area is super awesome. I liked the small swing placed in common room. And that jhula at bonfire place. Shout-out to gyan ji and other cooking staff. Awesome food. Thanks to akshay (community manager) to suggest the places to visit and making us visit rail a and bhatkanda. Overall loved it

The property is located in shangarh valley with no signboards to help you reach there. It's good to travel in daylight as the area has no street lights. Once you reach the hostel, you are surrounded by meadows and mountains on all sides. The in house cafe offers hygienic and tasty food, with prices being little higher.

The location was absolutely beautiful and the property manager was welcoming. The food and amenities was good and services were outstanding. I would recommend it to everyone as this is a place where you will have a wonderful scenery and peaceful surroundings with not much crowd

The stay was very comfortable. the room was very clean and the staff was pretty friendly. one of the most amazing host we have in zostel. the view from zostel is breathtaking and is quite close to nearby attractions and cafés .. excellent location .. absolutely loved my stay

Its an amazing place with great host and great feel. A remote place with such good hospitality confort and facilities. Its too good. Beautiful location beautiful landscape. Cleannliness is good. Hot water is good. Only if wash basin and places gets hot water will be great.

Zostel makes accessible an unexplored heaven. If you like the music of nature and uninhibited beauty; visit shangarh and zostel seems to be the best place to land!

Staying in zostel shangarh was one of my best decisions. The host, annie, is an amazing soul. She not only made my solo trip very comfortable but made me feel homely. The room was quite spacious and clean too. They also cleaned it as and when required
