Air China Checked Baggage Allowance
The amount of free checked baggage allowance on all Air China flights depends on the weight and dimensions of baggage, along with the class of cabin.
- The standard baggage dimensions must not exceed a total (length + width + height, including wheels and handles) of 158 cm.
For business class travelers, each piece of baggage must weigh between 2kg and 32 kg. - For premium economy and economy class travelers, the weight of each bag must fall in the range of 2 kg – 23 kg. For additional weight, the airline charges fees.
- If any bag weighs more than 32 kg, it must be repacked and checked in as two pieces.

- For domestic routes, overweight baggage fees is calculated per kg, depending on the origin to destination mileage, at a rate of 1.5% of an adult economy class fare.

Air China baggage rules
- Although there is no limitation regarding the number of bags you can check in, for more than seven bags, you would exceed the free bag allowance and additional bags would be accepted only if space is available on the aircraft.
- Infant passengers of any class can check in one baggage for free (maximum weight of 23 kg), along with a folding cot, or cradle, or stroller.
