About Star Air
Star Air is a Danish cargo airline, part of Maersk, a Danish business conglomerate, specialized in providing highly reliable cargo lift capacity. Star Air’s headquarter is located at the Copenhagen Airport, whilst the main operational hub is located in Cologne, Germany. Star Air was founded in 1987 and started operations with two Fokker F27 aircrafts. The Star Air mission is to provide quality service to its customers, which they accomplish through their commitment to safety, efficiency, punctuality and flexibility. In order to support their operations, the airline has developed and implemented a comprehensive Quality and Safety Management system, which ensures business excellence, regulatory compliance and safety. This system involves many feedback processes for continual improvement and safety training for all employees. Star Air provides aircraft capacity to some of the world's leading integrators, cargo companies and freight forwarders such as UPS, Lufthansa Cargo Charter, Fliteline B.V and Chapman-Freeborn among others. Their 11 Boeing 767-200SF are each capable of transporting 42,000 kg over distances of more than 6,000 km non-stop

Baggage Allowance
The cargo airline carries most types of cargo such as: Dangerous Goods (except radioactive material), Perishables, Parcels, Cars, First Aid, Spare parts and Medical supply. The maximum take-off weight is 320,000 pounds or 145,454 kg. The maximum landing weight is 283,000 pounds or 128,636 kg. The maximum fuel capacity is 137,000 pounds or 62,272 kg. The maximum load is 94,000 pounds or 42,727 kg. The maximum volume (Main deck) is approximately 9,900 Cu. Ft 280 Cu. meters 19 positions for 88"x125" pallets/ULDs. The maximum volume (Lower deck) is approximately 3,000 Cu. Ft 87 Cu. meters 11 positions for LD-8 ULDs and Load at maximum range is 36,500 Pounds or 16,590 kg.
Fleet
Four Boeing 757-200s were introduced in 2001 and 2002, and the number of 727s cut to four.
After signing a new contract with a duration until 2015, Star Air carried out a full fleet replacement in 2005 and 2006. All the 727s and 757s were returned and instead eleven Boeing 767-200s were leased. This gave a major hike in revenue, increasing from DKK 106 million in 2004 to DKK 653 million in 2007. Profits increased from DKK 7 to 58 million. Maersk Air was sold to Sterling Airlines in 2005. Star Air was kept out of the deal and instead it made a subsidiary directly under the Maersk Group. It was also given the responsibility for operating the Maersk Group's corporate jet, a Canadair Challenger 600. Star Air took delivery of a Boeing 767-300 in 2014.
Today they operate a fleet of 11 Boeing 767-200 SF's, 1 Boeing 767-300BCF and 2 Boeing 767-300F.
