About Air China

Air China is an international airline company and it is the flag carrier as well as one of the major airlines of China. Air China was established on July 1st, 1988 because of a split within the operating division of CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China). In all these years, Air China has grown by leaps and bounds, and has evolved to be one of the best airlines in China, for both domestic and international air-travel. Air China got listed on the London and Hong Kong Stock Exchange on December 15th, 2004. On August 18th, 2006, the airline got itself listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. In December, 2007, it formally joined the Star Alliance, the largest airline alliance in the world. In 2010, Air China started offering combo tickets, which included domestic flight tickets and shuttle bus service to nearby cities. The attempt was the first-ever made by any Chinese airline. In August, 2004, it was appointed the airline partner of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
