Malaysia Airlines Checked Baggage Allowance
Baggage allowance on all Malaysia Airlines flights depend on the class of cabins you choose.
- If you are travelling in a Business Suite, you can carry 50 kg of free checked baggage. In a Business Class cabin, 40 kg of checked baggage is allowed and in an Economy Class cabin, you can carry 30 kg of checked baggage.
- Infants get 10 kg of free baggage allowance.
- The checked baggage size in all the cabin classes should not be more than the sum of 158 cm.
- If you are travelling in a Business Suite or Business Class cabin, you can carry 2 pieces of carry-on luggage and the total weight should not go beyond 14 kg. In an Economy Class cabin, you can carry one baggage piece as hand luggage that does not exceed 7 kg. The baggage size should not exceed 115 cm.
Malaysia Airlines Extra Baggage Allowance
If your baggage weight exceeds above the free checked baggage allowance while you are flying with Malaysia Airlines, it would cost in US dollars per kg and it will depend on your point of departure. When you are travelling from India, you would have to pay USD 20 per kilo of excess baggage weight.
Malaysia Airlines Baggage Rules
- You can carry medicines as part of your checked baggage weight.
- If you are carrying liquid, aerosol and get items including perfumes, creams and toothpastes, you are required to put them in 100 ml/mg containers. They should be put in transparent plastic bags with the overall dimensions not exceeding 80 cm.
