About Libreville (LBV)

Situated on the Komo River, Libreville is a beautiful port. It is the capital and the largest city of Gabon. Bearing proximity with the Gulf of Guinea, the city is also a trade center for timber region. The land is characterized by tropical monsoon climate featured with a long 9 months wet season and a short 3 months dry season. The city was once inhabited by Mpongwe tribe before it was captured by French in 1839. Here the British, Germans and Americans have at one time settled their business. Also it was the capital of French Equatorial Africa. But since its independence in 1960, the city grew in leaps and bounds. The most wonderful attraction here is Pointe Denis, visitors escape from the city's hustle and bustle to the serenity of this place. The main entry to this heaven is from Libreville's Port Mole. This beach is a long stretch of land; at one end of Pointe Denis is Maringa Hotel and on the other end is Assala Lodge. The northern end of this land has wider beaches, while you will see an array of palm trees. Moreover the lush vegetation around this beach seem like an equatorial jungle. L'Eglise St-Michel Libreville is an amazing tourist attraction; it is an important architectural building. It has large wooden columns which are carved by a blind Gabonese man. Other such eye catching structure is Palais Presidential, which was built by President Bongo in 1970s. If you are looking for art and culture, do not worry, for you will be satiated. Make a visit to Musee des Arts et Traditions du Gabon. The museum exhibits a brilliant collection of items that bespeak about the country's art. The French cultural center, St Marie's Cathedral (seat of Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Libreville), the adeptly carved wood church of St Michael Nkembo, Arboretum de Siband and two cultural villages- all of them make the city of Libreville favorite destination of everyone. House of great diversity in art and culture, the land of Libreville also excels in architecture. So, why waste more time. Log onto MakeMyTrip and book online your trip to Libreville. About Malaysia (MY)

Malaysia, is Asia’s food heaven and cultural melting pot. With home to pristine beaches, lush jungles, reefs and rainforests, fresh highlands, and skyscrapers, Malaysia truly lives up to its slogan ‘Truly Asia’. Malaysia’s supercharged capital, Kuala Lumpur, resembles a crystal garden amongst towering skyscrapers, shopping malls and mono rail tracks. Devote a day to sample Kuala Lumpur’s delicious street food and stalls selling tropical fruits and smoothies; Chinese noodles and Indian dosas to aromatic and spicy Malay curries and seafood. The country really is a crossroads for so many Asian cultures; Muslim Malays, religiously diverse Chinese, Hindu and Muslim Indians live here, along with the indigenous people of Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo. This only proves Malaysia is an ethnically and linguistically diverse jigsaw puzzle. UNESCO World Heritage listed, Melaka and George Town (Penang) have distinctive architectural and cultural townscapes. Spend the day with a traditional tribe or at a tea plantation, strawberry farm, waterfalls in the Cameron Highlands. Trek through the vast national parks of Gunung Mulu and Taman Negara and encounter incredible wildlife, like tigers and elephants. Or head to Borneo and look for wild orangutans, hike through the rainforest, and marvel at the knife-sharp peek of Mount Kinabalu. Then, there are tropical islands such as Langkawi, Tioman and the Perhentian Islands, synonymous with sparkling sands and scuba diving on pristine reefs. Outside of diving, Malaysia is also known for its challenging whitewater rafting conditions; Kuala Kubu Bharu River and Ulu Slim River are two popular options.
