About Etihad Airways
Etihad Airways has come a long way in a small time and is now the flag carrier and the second-largest airline of the United Arab Emirates. It was established by the Royal (Emiri) Decree in July 2003 and wholly owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi with a mandate to operate safely, commercially and profitably. The airline offers its guests a network of over 110 passenger and cargo destinations across six continents, with a young and environmental friendly fleet of more than 120 aircrafts. Web check-in and verification
Passengers can check-in online and avoid long airport check-in queues for flights operated by Etihad Airways (not a partner airline). With a few simple clicks, passengers can choose their preferred seat and print their boarding passes. Mobile boarding passes are a convenient option for guests with internet-enabled mobile devices.
To access the mobile boarding pass, all they have to do is complete the online check-in at least three hours before departure using a mobile device. The pass will also be sent to their email address or stored on Passbook (for iPhone users). It is also recommended taking a screenshot of the mobile boarding pass, as the 2D barcode will need to be scanned while passengers pass through the airport security and boarding gate.
With Etihad’s user-friendly mobile app, it is even easier for passengers to make travel plans on the move.

In-flight service
Etihad is inspired by its Emirati values and benchmarks itself against the world’s best hospitality establishments, not just other airlines. The airline has introduced a number of signature travel experiences with world-class products and innovative service offerings such as the In-flight Chef, Food & Beverage Managers and Flying Nannies.
With an extensive range of seat options, passengers can choose the perfect spot on board. They can book extra legroom seats or bid for a neighbour-free seat as well. Passengers can also book a preferred seat near the front of the plane for ease of exit.
Etihad uses both the Panasonic eX2 and the Thales Top Series i5000 in-flight entertainment system with AVOD (audio-video on demand) system on its new long-range aircrafts and on some of its new A320-200 aircrafts. Etihad brands this system as the "E-box". International destination fleets have a plug-and-play system which works on USB technology, that allows passengers to play their own audio, video and picture media. The Airbus A330s, Airbus A340s, Boeing 777-200LR and Boeing 777-300ER all have in-flight telephone facility.
