SilkAir Airlines Checked Baggage Allowance
The amount of free checked baggage allowance on all SilkAir Airlines flights depends on the weight and dimensions of baggage, along with class of travel.
- For flights to and from all countries, except the United States, weight concept is applicable. Suites and first class travelers are allowed 50 kg of check-in baggage, whereas, business class and premium economy passengers can check in 40 kg and 35 kg of baggage. Economy Flexi, Standard and Lite travelers are allowed 35 kg, 30 kg, and 30 kg of allowance, respectively.
- For flights to and from the United States, suites, first class and business class passengers can check in two pieces of up to 32 kg each. On the other hand, premium economy and economy class passengers can check in two pieces of maximum 23 kg each.
- In both cases, those who have KrisFlyer Elite Gold status are eligible for additional allowances.
SilkAir Airlines Extra Baggage Charges
- By pre-purchasing additional baggage, you can save up to 25% on last-minute buys at the airport.
- Additional baggage will be charged separately for each check-in.
- For non-US routes, weight pricing concept is applicable. Depending on the origin and band, you would have to pay in USD per kg.
- For US routes, flat rates are applicable for additional piece of baggage and over-sized baggage.
