About China Southern

China Southern Airline Company headquartered at Baiyun District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, People's Republic of China, was established on 1 July 1988. It is merged with various domestic airlines and is the fourth-largest airline in the world in domestic passenger traffic and the sixth-largest in scheduled domestic passenger-kilometers flown. It is assumed to be the sixth largest airline in terms of number of passengers carried and according to size of fleet; it is largest airline in Asia. From its main hub the airline flies to 171 destinations using a fleet of more than 400 aircraft. Since it is merged with various domestic airlines companies, it is among one of China's "Big Three" airlines (alongside Air China and China Eastern Airlines). In year 2010 the number of passengers carried by its domestic and international flights was about 76.5 million. The load factor in year 2010 was 79.2% and a net profit of CNY5.8 billion ($883 million) in 2010 was reported.
