Q. What is an NFT?

A. NFT, i.e. non-fungible tokens, are digital collectible assets, which can be traded ONLY in the digital world. These NFTs are one-of-a-kind art works which cannot be duplicated, unlike other digital files.

Q. How do NFTs work?

A. NFTs are protected digitally through the blockchain technology, and are transacted with digital certificates of transactions. Like rare physical assets, NFTs can have only ONE owner at a time. The transaction certificates are a record of ownership, location & product details, and are considered as Proof of Authenticity.

A. MakeMyTrip is excited to launch an immersive NFT collection of Indian tourist destinations. We proudly proclaim to be the first Indian travel brand to step into the NFT space. Our limited edition NFT collection aims at bringing to life the often unexplored treasures of India through artificial intelligence. Each NFT comprises a kaleidoscopic meta-world view of seen and unseen sides of India’s most acclaimed travel destinations. MakeMyTrip will be passing on the proceeds from the sale of NFTs to support projects focusing on promoting sustainable tourism in the country.

Q. What currency will be used for buying?

A. #MyVirtualVacation NFTs will be available for online purchase in INR. Buying the NFTs will be as simple as any other e-commerce transaction.

Q. How will I get ‘proof of ownership’ of the assets?

A. Every asset listed with us is available to view on Blockchain under ‘View Proof of Authenticity.’ On viewing the proofs, you will see the assets listed on IPFS or Blockchain, with a unique ID associated with the particular token.

On purchasing the asset, your transaction detail will be created on the blockchain with a new unique ID. This unique ID will now be visible under ‘View Proof of Authenticity.’ You will also receive an invoice with purchase details including your unique ID. This information will also be readily available on the log in page under MY COLLECTION > NFT > View Proof of Authenticity.

Terms & Conditions:

When a user (hereinafter “you”, “your” or “Customer”) browses through MakeMyTrip (India) Private Limited (“MMT”) website and/ or mobile application (“Platform”) and wishes to purchase the Non-Fungible Tokens (“NFT”) sold against the purchase of artistic work for Indian tourist destinations listed on KOINEARTH (“ngageN”), the below mentioned terms and conditions shall apply.

General Terms and Conditions

  • The Customer must be aged 18 years or above to transact in NFT through ngageN.
  • While completing a transaction through ngageN for the purchase of these NFTs, the Customer shall have to enter into a licensing agreement with MMT as prompted on the ngageN platform and the terms of that licensing agreement shall be binding on the Customer with regard to purchase of NFT and will govern the use of the NFT by the Customer or by any subsequent buyer of the NFTs which buyer shall be deemed to be the licensee for the purpose of the licensing agreement.
  • For all the queries and claims pertaining to purchase and sales of the NFT purchased through ngageN, the Customer shall approach ngageN and MMT shall not be held responsible for the same. The Customer shall be governed by Terms of Use and privacy policy of ngageN available at MakeMyTrip | ngageN.
  • The NFTs are being provided on a first cum first served basis and thus, MMT shall not be held responsible if a Customer does not get a chance to purchase the NFT through ngageN.
  • MMT shall not be responsible for any delay, improper services provided by the ngageN or, for any injury, death, loss or damage caused by the act or default of the management or employees of provider who are MMT’s independent contractors.
  • MMT reserves the right, at any time, without prior notice and liability and without assigning any reason whatsoever, to add/alter/modify/change/withdraw or vary all of these terms and conditions or to replace, wholly or in part, these terms and conditions by another terms and conditions, whether similar to these terms and conditions or not, or to extend or withdraw it altogether.
  • MMT is the sole authority for interpretation of these Terms and Conditions.
  • MMT shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising due to force majeure event.
  • MMT shall not be liable to for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions. Notwithstanding anything contrary contained hereunder, in no event the aggregate liability of MMT under these terms and conditions shall exceed the amount of the respective NFT purchased by the Customer against which the claim arose.
  • MMT reserves the right to suspend or terminate the sale of the NFTs through ngageN platform or to altogether cease the sale of the present NFTs at any time and for any reason at their sole discretion.
  • DISCLAIMER: MMT hereby disclaims any responsibility with regard to the Crypto products and/ of NFTs sold through ngageN. NFTs are currently unregulated and can be highly risky. There may be no regulatory recourse for any loss from such transactions.
  • Customers are advised to exercise reasonable discretion while deciding to buy NFTs and MMT cannot be held responsible if the monetary value of the NFTs fall below the value at which the NFTs have been bought by the Customer.
  • All disputes arising out of or in connection to these Terms and Conditions will be governed by the applicable laws of India and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi only.
  • All other terms and conditions as listed in the User Agreement and the Privacy Policy available on MMT Platform will be applicable to these Terms and Conditions and these Terms and Conditions are to be read in addition to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy available on https://www.makemytrip.com.
