Need ideas for a day of activity and fun with the little ones? We have a list of some amazing and thrilling amusement parks right here! These places will definitely make for a memorable day out—and these parks are just as good as the international ones!

Adlabs Imagica, Mumbai

Imagica has everything for a family — it is a theme park, a snow park and a water park. Moreover, the standards here match up with those of international parks of repute. Go on a bumpy boat ride or on the crazy tea cups, indulge in a fantasy fight using laser guns, or dive headfirst into a battle of water guns. Teens would love to go on rides that swing, spin, twist and swirl at high speeds, and for the little members of the family, there are gentler versions. The performances and events here are equally entertaining, as is the experience of Dining with the Lion Chef.

Appu Ghar, Gurgaon

Ask an old Delhi-dweller about amusement parks, and the first name to pop up will be Appu Ghar. This eponymous Gurgaon amusement park is a bigger and better version of its predecessor. Rejoice in the rain dance area or go swiftly down the high and steep Skyfall. You could take a float slide, or race down the rapid racer with your friends — the attractions are too many. Better still are the culinary options inside, that range from a restaurant serving buffet meals, to carts and food trucks serving dimsums, chaat, thirst-quenchers and tea.

Essel World, Mumbai

Among the first theme parks in India to challenge every other amusement park in the country was Essel World in Mumbai. This exclusive water park is still reinventing itself, and today, it boasts a water kingdom, a bird park, and even an ice skating rink. The thrilling rides include a dizzying Enterprise, a more family-oriented wooden roller coaster, and the quintessential carousel for kids. But, it is the Alibaba Adventure Mirror Maze that steals the show.

Wonderla Park Bangalore

This Bengaluru park is not for the faint-hearted. It is, after all, home to India’s first reverse looping roller-coaster called the Recoil. Once you’re up there, you’d have surely discovered a new meaning for thrill. This high-tech ride goes as high up as 40 metres and accelerates up to 80 kilometres in barely a second. A musical fountain and laser show, sky wheel, 3-D films and crazy cars are only some highlights here. The water rides at Wonderla are equally enthralling with watery coasters to pools and even a faux beach.

Worlds of Wonder, Noida

Step into the world of wow in Noida—this is the perfect escape where amusement, thrill, excitement and fun come together. There are dedicated rides such as Bird Nest for toddlers, as well as high-speed ones for adults. After these, you could head over to the water park boasting a wide variety of slides such as Rapid Race and Turbo Tunnel. The go-karting track is especially recommended, as are the 10 themed eateries within the park.
