ADVENTURE
Even today, the sight of the beautiful snow-clad peaks and panoramic mountains are fresh in my memory. And I crave to go back. The trek to Bhrigu Lake has been one of the most memorable ones in my life. While browsing through MakeMyTrip, I stumbled upon this great package that, which was perhaps all my adventure-thirsty soul needed.
The drive to Manali was replete with winding mountainous roads dotted with beautiful trees and soothing landscapes. The quaint villages beckoned my parched city soul, and I was in heaven from the moment I set foot on the campsite. It had been a tiring day, and I retired to my tent after a warm meal, all excited about the adventure that awaited the morn after.

The next day was spent in acclimatising our bodies to the trek that we were to undertake to Bhrigu Lake. I had fun testing my balancing skills on the Burma Bridge and thoroughly enjoyed the short trek we went on as a prelude to the ultimate adventure.
The next morning, after witnessing the most stunning sunrise, we embarked upon our trek to Bhrigu Lake. Riveting views of colourful landscapes and scenic mountains stirred the soul, and after a beautiful climb, we arrived at Vashisht Thel. Here we filled ourselves with a sumptuous meal to give us the boost of energy for our onward journey. Piping hot tea welcomed us at the campsite that would be our home for the night. The next morning was going to bring us up close with the scintillating views of Bhirgu Lake.

We started our trek to Bhrigu Lake after a fulfilling breakfast. The views atop the expansive Bhrigu ridge offered soul-stirring views of the Kalihani Pass, Makarbeh, Hanuman Peak and Shakarbeh. After a three-hour-long climb, we arrived at the beautiful Bhrigu Lake. Located at an altitude of 4300 meters, the sight of it made our fatigue melt away within seconds. After spending a few hours at the lake, we descended to the campsite at Vashisht Thel/Moji Dugh. A celebration was on the cards after this amazing feat, and we did this with a delectable barbecued meal sitting across the warmth of a bright bonfire.
The next morning we trekked back to Manali, and our first stop was the Vashisth hot water spring. We took a refreshing dip in the pool and relaxed in its healing mineral waters. Later we continued the trek and reached the camp. Here our tired feet were pampered with an amazing foot massage. The night faded away with some soothing music playing around a warm bonfire.
The last day was filled with excitement as we went on a fishing expedition. I couldn’t contain my excitement as this was my first fishing experience. Later we went to the Mall Road for shopping. At night, I hit the sack early after a light meal. The next morning was going to bring a long drive back home.
I enjoyed every bit of my short vacation and thanks to MakeMyTrip, it was comfortable and effortless.
