One of the main attractions at the Hornbill Festival is the Chilly Eating Competition. Bhut Jholokia are supposed to be the world’s spiciest chillies, and you need to eat them raw one after the other, with no accompaniments at all. Even the best are left howling at times! The one who consumes the maximum chillies in limited time is declared the winner. Want to give it a shot? Warning—these chillies can make you cry!
Ass Burning Spicy. Yes, that’s what ABS stands for! The challenge is to eat 6 chicken wings prepared in mind-blowingly fiery chilli sauce within four minutes. No dips, no water, no beer! Certainly not for the chicken-hearted. If you win, your name goes to their Hall of Fame.
One foot tall burger weighing about 2 kg consisting of six patties made of salami, hotdog, chicken and egg and accompanied with French Fries and milkshake. Phew! Polish them off within 30 minutes and you will be hailed as the new entrant to their Wall of Fame. People have been so enthusiastic that few have successfully wiped off everything in an unbelievable nine minutes.

Who doesn’t love tea! But what if 90% of it is made of sugar? This café serves tea with so much sugar that the spoon can stand erect, hence the name Khade Chamcha Ki Chai. The challenge is to drink it within 30 minutes and win a surprise gift. So far, only three people have done it. Do you care to be the fourth?

Famous for making the biggest paranthas in India, Tapasya Dhaba serves you about 50 varieties, each measuring about 1 feet 6 inches in diameter and weighing about 1.2 kg. The challenge is to eat three such paranthas within 50 minutes and you stand to get free meals at the dhaba for a lifetime. Care to try? But mind you, only two people have succeeded so far in the past 10 years.
