Guess What? Dubai is All Set to Bring Venice Home

If there is one place in the world that truly embodies the have-it-all spirit, it has to be Dubai. Already home to some of the flashiest parks and tourist attractions, Dubai has recently unveiled a grand plan—the city is all set to build a floating replica of Venice!

The replica is essentially going to be an uber-luxurious Venetian-themed underwater resort (the world’s first, no less), complete with winding waterways, gondolas, arched bridges and even the famous Piazza San Marco.

Here are some key features we are especially excited about:

• 12 “floating” beaches
• Glass-bottomed swimming pool with views of the coral reef underneath
• 12 underwater restaurants, bars and a spa
• Traditional Venetian festivals and events to be hosted
• The underwater cabins with spectacular oceanic views
• Venetian-style shops and arcades
• The gondolas flown in straight from Italy!

The resort will be designed to host 3000 guests at a time, and will be accessible by boat, sea plane or helicopter.

Located in The Heart of Europe, which is a part of The World development—a man-made archipelago of 300 islands that form the World map when viewed from above—this floating replica of Venice is all set to be a destination in itself!
