Hong Kong Tourism – Dream Vacation for the Family

- Fireworks display to celebrate the 15^th anniversary of Hong Kong city becoming a part of China. (Victoria Harbour)

- Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival (Tuen Ng); 8^th Club Crew Championships. Expect big, cheering crowds and loads of excitement at this heart pumping competition that commemorates the death of the national hero – Qu Yuan. (Tsim Tsa Tsui waterfront)

- Painting workshops for kids at several galleries and art houses. If you’re good, you could have your painting displayed in the gallery too! (all through the Summer Spectacular season)

- HK Book Fair (Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre)

All for the Kids

For kids, one of the biggest attractions is the Hong Kong Disneyland and just one trip could earn you enough brownie points from the kids for months!

Another place you can take kids to is the Hong Kong Science Museum. With a fascinating collection of robotics and virtual reality, the kids are sure to learn and have fun! If you took your 6-year olds to an antiquities museum last year (which they hated because nothing seemed to be moving; or alive), give them a treat with the HK Ocean Park. Everything moves here! The place also has a theme park, one of the largest aquariums in the world and a Dolphin Show – an experience every kid must have.

Finally, for your jaded self - get large bags, your credit cards and some comfortable shoes, because this is Hong Kong and you can go crazy shopping here! Figure out where you want to stay because HK’s hotel choices can be baffling.
