Hubli, or Hubballi, is a city in the south Indian state of Karnataka. In Karnataka, Hubli and Dharwad are known as the twin cities and they have been selected for the Smart City Project. Being a big commercial hub, Hubli is also known as ‘Chotta Mumbai’.

The Nrupatunga Betta – The picnic spot

You can drive up this beautiful hill and leave your vehicle 1 km before you reach the top. If you choose to hike from the foothills, it will take you 40 minutes to reach. Situated on top of the Unkal hill, it offers stunning views of the city and magical sunset.

It is well connected by road and is 6 km from the Hubli Railway station.

Utsav Rock Garden

30 minutes away from Hubali is the amazing sculptural rock garden. Located at Shiggaon, It showcases and recreates the typical village scene from the past. Housing around 1000 real life-size sculptures, it is a treat for the art connoisseurs.

Chandramouleshwara temple

On the banks of the Unkal Lake beside the Nrupatunga hills is a 900 years old Shiva temple of Chandramouleshwara.  Preserved under the archaeological survey of India, this ancient temple flaunts breathtaking sculptures from the Chalukyan era. This temple houses 2 Lingas and 2 Nandis and this architectural marvel is around 5 km from the city of Hubli.
