A true-blue architectural gem, the Lal Bagh Palace was constructed in the early 20th century, and showcases a singular mix of rococo, baroque and neo-classical styles. While the grand entrance is a spitting replica of the Buckingham Palace gates, the interiors resemble the Versailles Palace with the Italian marble columns, splendid chandeliers and deep Persian rugs. The paraphernalia and furniture all around the palace emanate the rich tastes, and today stands as a part of an in-house museum.
#MMTFact: While the regal ballroom is a visual delight, be sure to check out thethe springs underneath the wooden floor.
A definite hit with adventure lovers, the Kalakund Jungle Night Trek takes you through the dense forests, across a gurgling river, and ends at the magnificent Kushalgarh Fort. The breathtaking views, enchanting surroundings and the anticipation of a magnificent fort in the end, is sure to make this a thrilling trek for you.

You can bask in the golden rays of the rising sun on the Peshawar Ghat or the Fanase Ghat, pay respects at the various temples located in the complex, and also enjoy exploring the fascinating landscape of the Kajal Rani Cave.
Exhibiting a seamless blend of Maratha, Mughal and European architecture, the Rajwada Palace sprawls proudly across Old Indore and New Indore. The intricate jail-work, imposing façade , the grand jharonkhas and the chhatris of the palace draw in tourists from all across the country. Aesthetically pleasing, with immaculate lawns and gardens, Rajwada Palace makes for a perfect getaway to soak in the glorious history of this ancient city.

Made of imported Belgian glass, the Kanch Mandir is a popular Jain shrine, dedicated to the revered Tirthankaras and Lord Mahavira. Commissioned by a former local businessman, the Kanch Mandir displays around 50 murals, exotic Chinese-style chandeliers and rich mansion-like architecture, replete with shikharas and jharonkhas.
All Jain festivals are celebrated with great pomp and show here, with Sugandh Dashami being particularly famous for its rich mandala creations.
Famed for being the birthplace of Lord Parashurama, the Janapav Temple is a popular tourist attraction in Indore. The picturesque surroundings, comprising rolling hills, winding roads and a serene environment, further dd on to the experience.
While here, embark on an exciting trek and see the lovely Janapav Hill – Malwa’s second highest vantage point, pay your respects to the gods at the Jamadagni Ashram, and enjoy a meal-with-a-view in the arms of nature. This temple draws in scores of devotees during the Kartika Purnima every year too.

Housing a comprehensive collection of historical artefacts – spanning from the pre-historic era to the Raj days, the Indore Museum lets you enjoy a peek into the Indore’s history. You can marvel at the extravagant collection of Hindu sculptures, weaponry, copper engraved inscriptions etc., and also enjoy the peaceful environs of the museum.
Once the hunting grounds of the Holkars, Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary became a protected zone towards the end of the ‘90s, and was specifically created to save the waning wildlife from noise and air pollution. About 10,000 trees were planted to create a sort of buffer for the flora and fauna here. You can enjoy the vibrant wildlife in their natural habitat, and if you’re lucky, you can catch a glimpse of tigers and leopards at their animated best too.
The perfect family-friendly destination, Mayank Blue Waterpark delights with a plethora of interesting water slides, a clear swimming pool and a fun discotheque – perfect for splashing around in the water, or relaxing with a dance. And, if you’re more of the adventurous kind, head to Safari Adventure Park and try out their wide range of thrilling activities, like camping, wall-climbing, zip-lining etc.
No trip to Indore is complete without relishing the signature dishes – Poha being the most popular one! While the Sarafa Bazaar has earned a reputation of being the street food hub of the city, with its roadside stalls serving everything, from pani puri, kanjivada to malpua, the Palasia Street wins you over with its aromatic plates of poha.
