An intrinsic part of the Cyclades Islands in the Aegean Sea, the Greek Island of Mykonos is all about age-old churches with stony white-washed façades, historical museums, exotic beaches, exciting bars and restaurants, dance clubs and luxury cruises.

Located in the neighbourhood of Kastro, in Chora town, this quaint church, also known as ‘Our Lady of the Side Gate’, was initiated in the year 1425 and finally completed in the 17th century.

Paraportiani Orthodox Church

Located in the northernmost area of old Chora, the main building of Folklore Collection of Mykonos at Kastro House, originally the abode of Dr. Vasilis D. Kiriazopoulos’s (founder of the collection) grandfather, was established in the year 1958.

Folklore Museum Mykonos

Located at Enoplon Dinameon Street in Tria Pigadia area, this historic property was originally the residence of Lena Skrivanou (died in 1968), which later got converted into an annex unit of the Folklore Museum in 1972.

Lenas House Folk Museum Mykonos

Located at the Old Port in Chora facing the sea, this museum was designed by Alexandros Lykakis and finally built in 1902 to preserve the 'Purification Pit' of 426/5 B.C artefacts discovered at Rhenia Island in 1898.

Archaeological Museum of Mykonos

Located in the town’s centre in an area called Tria Pigadia, this museum set up inside a 19th century Mykonian building was founded in 1983 by George M. Drakopoulos and opened to the public in 1985.
